House is so lovely. Felt the calmness the minute I opened the front door. We plan to stay again in the future.
Thank you for such a pleasant stay to get acclimated to Corvallis.

An eclectic, darling cottage.
Perfection. We loved the light airy cottage. The rooms were large, beds comfortable, kitchen was great for morning coffee. Lack of clothes closets was only a conundrum until we found the one. Freyas cottage is highly recommended and Carol could sell us her property if only there was no rainy season.

Felt like home away from home
Some things could be considered dated but we chose to consider them eclectic. Many "one of a kind" simple sculptures and art work, and books that would take a year or two to peruse adequately. We had a family emergency while in Corvallis and it was comforting to have a home rather than a hotel room to work through the details.

Great Cottage
A wonderful cottage, very well appointed with everything we needed. We were only two doors down from our daughters house, perfect location. Easy to get to everything. A beautiful home! The only thing for us was the bed was a wee bit hard, not what we were used to, but everything else was perfect!

Perfect place to stay
We had never tried a VRBO previously. This was a perfect alternative to a hotel. Our daughter is a freshman at OSU and we wanted to be able to provide a little more of a "home" away from home for her while we visited. We had a more comfortable place to stay, and were able to prepare our own meals. The cottage was warm, cozy and very well appointed. Quiet and peaceful inside and out.

Artistic and Comfortable Home, Beautifully Landscaped
Freya's home was a delight to spend three nights in. And it was a great place to entertain our daughter and her family. The house is full of interesting artwork, and the front and backyards are comfortable and beautifully landscaped. All of this made for a comfy, stimulating visit, and we left renewed and eager to return next year. Five stars all the way!

Absolutely darling, a true gem!
Freya's house was a perfect home base for our daughter's recent graduation from OSU. It is darling, cozy yet roomy, friendly, welcoming and decorated beautifully. It was appointed with everything we needed and Freya was very friendly and accommodating, and quickly provided a cooler and extra chairs for our small afternoon backyard BBQ celebration. The master bedroom, twin bedroom and sun porch pullout bed accommodated four of us comfortably for multiple nights. We enjoyed morning coffee on the front porch surrounded by pots overflowing with beautiful flowers. We feel so fortunate that a cancellation allowed us to stay in this incredible home. We loved it and would definitely stay here again!

Artistic, charming, comfortable and convenient
Freya's house is a joy. She has a real talent for design and decorating and has created a beautiful haven on her big lot just outside the downtown area of Corvallis. I enjoyed my time at the desk in the sunroom doing computer work I had to catch up on. Wireless is perfect. No TV but that was fine and we used a computer to stream Netflix one lazy night. The house is surprisingly quiet and private for being in an older subdivision: the front porch was our favorite spot, looking out over the sweet front yard and its lovely landscaping. Beds were comfy, kitchen well equipped for our needs. All in all, a very pleasant respite from travel and a convenient location for exploring the area.

Quirky, fun, clean & well stocked with everything you need.
We stayed here with another couple for parents weekend and were pleasantly surprised by how much room there was and how well stocked it was. We spent most of the day on campus but really enjoyed coming back and playing games in the living room with the "kids". The artwork was beautiful and the yard was brimming with flowers so we ended up cooking and staying in rather than fight the crowds at the restaurants. It was very relaxing and fun - we will be back!

Restful Retreat
This was my second stay at Freya's Cottage. Just as before, it was immaculate and super quiet! My friend and I are both full-time caretakers for our elderly moms. All we wanted was a peaceful, convenient and affordable place where we could go to rest and relax. We had everything we needed, there is an adorable kitchen and wonderful porch! Two living areas made it perfect for the two of us to be able to lounge, read and nap all we wanted without interruption. I'll be back as soon as I am able. Five Stars!

Great property. Has everything you need.
This is a very comfortable and very convenient place to stay in Corvallis. It has everything you need. The fantastic and fully equipped kitchen was a real plus for me as I like to eat healthy which requires real cooking. Freya is extremely accommodating. Bus travel is excellent from this location and an easy enjoyable walk to the food coop, town center and gorgeous river walk/park. I recommend this property for long or short stays. We stayed a month and loved every minute of our stay. It really felt like home from the start.

Enjoyed our stay--planning to return!
Freya's cottage was a perfect home base for us (semi-retired couple) during our recent stay in Corvallis to visit family nearby. The house is charmingly decorated and feels warm and welcoming. Our granddaughters (ages 8 and 11) spent one night with us and enjoyed the pullout sofa bed in the sunroom. They had fun playing in the yard and are looking forward to visiting us there in warmer weather, when they can take greater advantage of the backyard tetherball and the sheepherder's wagon (the weather was a little chilly and rainy during our October stay). We didn't mind the lack of a TV, in fact found it restful. Many good books on hand for all ages including younger children. The wifi worked fine and we used our laptops for Netflix and DVD viewing. Easy walk to a nice natural foods grocery store. Located in a quiet part of town near an appealing park with play equipment. Freya was a gracious host and readily available by text if we needed anything (which we didn't--she had thought of everything). Altogether a pleasant stay and a place we hope to return to next summer.

Beautiful, eclectic home!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Freya's cottage and wished I had been able to stay longer. It's beautifully and uniquely decorated with comfortable and eclectic pieces - every room of the cottage felt immediately welcoming, even though I arrived in the rain. It has a warm, Santa Fe vibe. Freya was welcoming and informative yet gave me the privacy to go forward and explore Corvallis. Every possible comfort of a home was present whether it be a wonderful bedroom with great mattress and bed linens, a beautiful bathroom and a wonderful enclosed sunroom area to relax/read or just quietly meditate. The kitchen felt so comfortable with most any cookware you would need. I'm a light sleeper and the neighborhood was absolutely quiet and peaceful. The windows didn't have the blackout shades or curtains that I would have liked but I was there for just 1 night so it was OK. If you're in Corvallis or vicinity, this is the cottage to rent!

Charming, cozy, and perfect for family.
My wife and I rented this property for 2.5 months when we had our first child, so extended family could stay there. This worked out perfectly! Our parents and siblings had plenty of room, without making our house crowded.
Freya, the house owner, is very inviting and made the whole process easy.
The house is very cozy/warm. Freya, has decorated it very nicely. I typically don't pay attention to the whole "Feng shui" thing, but it really works in this house! Our parents all said they got excellent sleep and my father hammered through several books, partly due to the relaxed atmosphere of the place. We would often have family dinners at the house, using the neat old oven.
In short, if you are like us and need a long-term rental property (or, even a short relaxing stay) in the Corvallis area, this is a perfect solution.

Wonderful stay!!
My visit to Corvallis is an annual retreat. I go for peace and quiet, exercise and restful nights. This charming bungalow, eclectic cottage decor and gardens were perfect surroundings for me. The home was spotless, and I had everything I needed - most especially the peace and quiet. The house is within walking distance to Willamette Park, where I enjoyed jogging the dirt trails and being able to see the river from openings along the path. I had a wonderfully restorative and peaceful retreat and hope to return again soon.

Fabulous
We LOVED everything about the house. Especially the thoughtful touches, hide-a-bed made up, fresh cut flowers, half and half and coffee in the fridge. One of our favorite VRBO's yet. Highly recommend! My 20-year-old daughter didn't want to leave!

Lovely, convenient, inviting property in Corvallis!
This was a wonderful place to stay for our visit to Corvallis. My daughter will start grad school at OSU, and Freya's place was convenient to campus and very comfortable. The house was super clean and appeared just as described on the website. We arrived in Corvallis early, and Freya allowed us to check in early so we could get settled and start exploring the area. Very homey feel, lots of personal touches, great selection of books, nice gas stove, all around wonderful experience and we will definitely stay there again and recommend to others!
