I hold this place in such high regard that I felt compelled to return this year. Its seclusion and privacy offers a truly serene retreat. They’ve made a lot of improvements which feels great. My family loves it. The view is beautiful, we enjoyed drinking our morning coffee listening to the loons. Would definitely stay again!
The house and location was perfect. Our hosts were very nice. The only thing they have Rock steps. That are very slippery with the morning air never mind light rain. I went to step down on the step, fell and broke my ankle. So needless to say, our whole week was ruined. Maggie and her husband, both were very thoughtful and checked on me almost daily. All I would say is the steps need to be replaced before somebody breaks their neck.
If we could rate it higher we would. This was our 4th visit to this property and our best. Maggie & Kyle are perfect hosts and the “little” extras, firewood, charcoal etc.. were welcome surprises. The house is private and secluded but a quick ride to anything you’d wish for. We wanted to unplug for the week and that’s what we accomplished. Us and our 2 dogs can’t wait for our spring visit. Thanks Maggie& Kyle for sharing your property.

What a lovely spot. Maggie's place was a wonderful place for me, my husband, and another couple to decompress from our busy schedules. The cottage is cozy and provided every simple creature comfort we needed including a new gas grill that we loved to cook on! Our very favorite thing was to make a nightly fire in the fire pit and watch the sunset - thanks for the firewood too! Hearing the loons day & night was magical. My dog "nephew" loved the dock and taking a swim any time he liked. Thanks for your hospitality and we hope to come back!

Our stay was just what we needed ! The deeply rich natural environment & stillness except for my desired loon presence , kingfishers , hummingbirds & dragon flies ! I relished my daily swims, walks , jacuzzi soaks , fireside time & the brilliance of the misty mornings , golden sunsets & starry sky! The abode provided comfy seating & beds & spacious open areas with an expansive wall of windows& unique artistic touches .
The lake house was very relaxing, peaceful, and picturesque. Very secluded, just us, the loons, and a revisiting heron.Took lots of photos. Read a book.
Also saw 2 turtles mating. The dog had a great time.
She loved swimming and catching sticks.
Only disappointment was that our attempted sunset cruise around Wild Goose Pond was cut short. The motorized boat that was left for our use broke down and we had to paddle back.
Aside from that, we had a lovely vacation filled with many beautiful sunsets.
.
We enjoyed our stay on the lake. It seemed like we had the whole lake to ourselves! The house had just about everything you could need. The road in was an adventure but it was worth the trip!
This is a nice, warm feeling cabin. It is very private and is well appointed. The host has stocked it well. All the dishes, bedding, towels ect. The appliances are almost new. Communication was good. Plenty of parking. A nice dock with 2 Jon boats and several canoes available with life preservers. Beds are comfortable. Ceiling fans everywhere. Very little lighting at night and one lamp wouldn't work. Could just be me, I don't see well in low light. But even my wife was wondering why the lighting was so dim. One bedroom has an very old air conditioner, but both rooms had ceiling fans.
The downside: There is a HUGE snapping turtle that lives under the dock, Like really huge 40lbs or more! We would not go in the water even though everything we read online says it is safe. When you see the claws on this thing you will understand. The owners should make renters aware of this thing so a choice can be made before renting.
A more minor issue is the poor excuse for a grill. The owners do provide charcoal and lighter, but the grill is 6
inches wide and about 30 inches long. It is inadequate for a rental that you pay so much $ for and it is a mystery why they have this poor piece of equipment when most everything else is nice. I can't imagine cooking for a family on this thing. Food easily fell off the grill when we tried to use it.
Overall rating would be 3.5 -4 Would have been 4.5 without the turtle
The listing said it had AC. It did not. The charcoal grill was in very poor shape. Very small and did not work well for a lot of food. The fire wood they supplied was not very good and needed to be carried to the firepit. My review would be they need to work on a lot. For what we paid, I felt we didn’t get our monies worth. My rate would be a 3 out of 5 stars.
This vacation was the most amazing. The hostess was very attentive the property was just as described but honestly doesn't do it justice, the views are amazing. They set us up with 4th of July, smores and a wonderful bottle of wine. Firepit stocked. Very pet friendly. No reason to leave once you have arrived. Amazing experience. Thank you!
My three kids (ages 4-10) and I, along with our dog, had the most perfect time here for a few days. We loved the quiet lake, location of the home and the home itself. I've rented many vacation houses and this was by far the most thoughtfully stocked! Easily within 15 minutes to anything you might need but feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. We were all sad to leave and the kids have made me promise we'll be back again!
The view is stunning. The deck had a great breeze.
The bed was very comfortable. The home was very quaint and had everything you needed. It was wonderful to start a fire and hang out by the fire at night talking. Our dog loved it. He was very calm and happy during the trip. It is silent at night. The ceiling fans are very helpful to circulate air.
The area has a few nice things around. We got to a grocery store and a local brewery within 15 minutes drive.
You may need water shoes as entry to water is rocky. My crocs did just fine. Neighbors were quiet. Only one is close by and very quiet. Very cozy retreat.
We had the pleasure of staying the week at Vasha. The property is beautiful and well maintained. We’ve stayed in dozens of rentals across the US, and this one was definitely the best stocked! Maggie & Kyle were so generous and had excellent communication. The property is so close to everything you would want to experience in NH. Our family (and golden doodle!) enjoyed our time immensely. The beds are fantastic and the views are one of a kind. We look forward to coming back already!
Beautiful property that satisfied our getaway expectations.
The property was well secluded and the owners willingness to assist in locating the property was a great kickoff to our stay. The property is well maintained and on top of a beautiful lake. I believe our dog enjoyed the area more than we did but hats off to the owners for their assistance in making it a wonderful stay for us.
