This beautifully home with quaint charm has a one month minimum stay requirement because of local zoning regulation. Colorful and breezy with covered front and back porches. Sliding back doors open onto lush landscaping and one of a kind lazy river heated pool.

Equipped with full kitchen, washer/dryer, local art that includes an original Shel Silverstein mural. (Shel was a beloved Key West artist and author.)

Steps from Blue Heaven Restaurant, Hemingway.House and Duval Street but you can retreat to a quiet home in one of the last authentic Key West neighborhoods. Two bicycles come with the property. One parking space is included with this property, however, you don't need a car! Everything is a short walk or bicycle ride away!
The heated pool is shared within a five home community. Responsive and helpful and friendly owners live just across from the pool.

Two bedrooms each have a queen size bed. Two bathrooms each have walk in showers. HDTV cable and high speed WIFI are all included.

This is a one month minimum rental! Come join us and live like a Conch in the Conch Republic for a month or longer! If you can work from your laptop, you have two full desks and wifi so you can work in paradise and play in paradise when you are finished telecommuting.

Cozy Conch Cottage

Even better in person. This is such an inviting home and the pool and porches were icing on the cake. We took advantage of the bicycles on property for longer excursions but this location made the entire island an easy walk. Susan and Bruce could not have been nicer and more accommodating. We are already looking forward to our return next year!

Our month in Paradise!

Great place to live for a month. Had a real Key West feel about it. The colors and design of the place were great. The owner thought of everything! There were hooks everywhere to hang things and charging cords wherever you needed them. The lazy river was beautiful to sit out and enjoy. We had a great time!

A Location that can't be beat.

Between the shopping and restaurants within walking distance and the easy access to the free Duval Loop, this location couldn't be any better. Having a pool just steps away was perfect for dealing with the August heat. The house is extremely well appointed, we didn't think that anything was missing. The host, Susan, felt like a dear friend from the first day to the last. We will certainly miss our second home in paradise.

We have been coming to see Bruce and Susan now for 5 or 6 years. We always have a great time. The property is centrally located within walking distance of all of Old Town restaurants and entertainment. The pool area is fantastic and we spend a couple hours out there every day. This was my 5th year staying in Key West aka Paradise for the month of January. It was my first year at Susan's bungalow. It was perfect for my family and friends as far as location and amenities. Brilliant property in Key West

Although I have enjoyed a short visit to Key West via cruise ship, this was my first trip to enjoy a full month in this area. I am so delighted to have had the opportunity to enjoy a stay at this beautiful property. Susan is a super host. She is very accommodating, quick to respond, and simply a delight to work with. The house is set up with a great use of space. The house is well thought out and provides the comforts of home. Loved having a laundry machine to wash clothes. There was plenty of room for two couples to have space without being on top of each other. My favorite spot was the back porch, sitting close to the swimming pool and enjoying the sound of the fountain. At night, the lit pool was relaxing and serene. There is a nice amount of shade in and around the pool which was a nice break during the July heat. There were noodles for the pool, chairs for the beach, and bikes to get around town. Location was fabulous. It was close to many attractions and restaurants yet, very quite for some down time. Would highly recommend this property for a stay in Key West. Well worth giving 5-stars.

Absolute perfection ...

The most enthusiastic review will not do this rental property the justice it deserves - nor give its owner, and my wonderful hostess for the month, Susan, the credit owed to her. My decision to travel and stay in Key West for the month was somewhat of a spontaneous decision, and I can't help but think how fortunate I was to find this property online. It exceeded all my expectations, as did the warm treatment I received from Susan. It's location was perfectly suited for all that I desired to do, it was conveniently located to every spot in Old Town. As well, I walked to such places as the Historic Seaport, Higgs Beach and White Street for coffee. I did not require a car for the entire month I was there, though there is a parking spot should one desire to keep a car. The interior of the home is perfectly suited to immersing yourself as a Key West local for the month. The beds and linens are comfortable, the kitchen is stocked with every item one should need if one opts to prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner in the home. As well, the stacked washer and dryer were an added convenience given the length of stay. The lush gardens only add to the tranquility of the setting. I will miss my Cuban Coffe Queen mornings, my happy hour ventures, my fine dinners at the wonderful food establishments but, most of all, I will miss this temporary vacation home in Key West.

Paradise is a few steps from the fun

We had a wonderful month in Susan’s cottage. She is a great host and the house is perfect for a small group or adult family. We loved walking everywhere and coming back to the beautiful pool during the heat of the day. You do not need a car but definitely bring/rent a small one if you choose to, you’ll be glad when parking in town. We did and enjoyed exploring the other keys for snorkeling, kayaking, and attractions. My husband also enjoyed biking 20-30 miles each early morning before the keys woke up. The cottage made everything very easy to access and we took full advantage of everything Key West has to offer. Thank you Susan!

The Best of Key West!!

My husband and I have been visiting Key West for over 20 years. Susan’s Cottage was by far the best place we’ve ever stayed. I truly hated to leave the cottage, the courtyard, the phenomenal swimming pool and most of all that sweet, little neighborhood. All the neighbors were so kind and friendly, we chatted each morning as I left for my walk. I highly recommend this rental. And, Susan is the best host, ever!

Look No Further

We fell in love with John's Bahama Bungalow after only a few days of our first month long stay there in 2015. We knew then, there was no need for us to look any further. We had found OUR PLACE to stay in Key West. This past November 2018 was the third time we have stayed for a month at this property. The house, the amenities, the decor, the beautiful back yard with lazy river pool and tropical plantings, and location were all perfect. And the best part was the pleasure of getting to know the owners, Bruce and Susan......now close friends.. Yes this was our third time staying at this property. Fabulous Vacation Home A Must Do!!!!!!!!!

When we arrived at the property we were in awe. The pictures of the home on line are great but let me tell you to see this property in person is something else. The architecture, the rooms painted in tropical colors, the extremely comfortable beds (feels like your sleeping on a cloud), the living room furniture as well as the dining room furniture are outstanding. The kitchen is bright and beautiful and fully equipped to cook any meal that you may wish to eat at home. My daughter and I eat a Whole Foods plant based diet and I cook a majority of our meals. I did not need to run to the store to purchase any type of cooking utensils, pots, pans, or bakeware everything is there for you to make which ever meal you choose. Also there are all of the small electrical appliances, toaster, blender, mixer, coffee maker and the list goes on. The bathrooms are beautifully appointed, decorated in tropical colors and have big soft fluffy towels. The pool area is magnificent. It is a lazy river pool in its own right and the tropical landscaping is beautiful. There is Plumeria, Bird is Paradise, and so many, many more tropical flowers. The pool has blue lights in it this at light up at night and there is also additional lighting nestled amongst the tropical landscaping. In the day time the pool is bright and beautiful and in the evening it is peaceful and scerene. Susan is the owner of this home and the host. She is one of the must beautiful, compassionate, caring people that I have ever encountered. She will do everything that she can to make your vacation magical. I always sleep with my TV on (yes I know that is a bad habit) originally the middle bedroom did not have a TV. When I arrived there was a big beautiful flat screen TV installed in the bedroom that I was going to sleep in. Once you meet your host, Susan you will fall in love with her. I feel like we found a family member that we didn’t know we had. I am ever so grateful that we were afforded he opportunity to stay in John’s Bahama Bungalow, enjoy a beautiful vacation, and most importantly meet out new family member. I highly, highly recommend staying at John’s Bahama Bungalow if you are considering a vacation in Key West. You will fall in love with the house, the people of Key West, and most importantly Susan, your host.

Conch Paradise

We spent another WONDERFUL month in our November Conch Paradise and plan to do so EVERY November going forward. Everything was PERFECT as usual. We can't say enough about the owners, Susan and Bruce who now are dear friends of ours. I don't know what the Garden of Eden looked like, but I believe it might have been something like the back yard at "JB's Poolside Paradise". Beautiful. We are already looking forward to next November!

This place felt comfortable from the moment I set foot in it.

I can't say enough good things about this place. A great location, and lovely hosts. Wake up in the morning and jump into the pool before doing anything else. Then go for a bike ride, and go see a band at the Green Parrot. Enjoy life without a car and make some new friends. You will not be disappointed.

Paradise, sanctuary & our piece of heaven!

This was our fourth visit & we love every minute. Key West is amazing but we enjoy just relaxing by the pool. A perfect location, close to fabulous restaurants, Duval street, Mallory Square, Higgs & Smathers beaches. All within walking distance but if you don't want to walk bikes are provided. Love our daily bike rides along the ocean & thru the neighborhoods.☀️🌴🐚🐔🐠

This Terry Lane property became available because we moved across the pool. We were so taken by the colorful little row of cigar maker houses, each unique and well appointed with the most amazing backyard. We now wish to share this get away cottage with travelers.
