**PETS** Please note that pets are allowed on a per-night-per-pet-fee basis (doesn't have an option for us to list a per night fee for pets. We feel its unfair for us to list a 'Per stay' fee like they want, as a guest staying 2 nights should pay less of a pet fee than guests staying more like 7-10 nights etc. Please just please bring your $15/per pet per night fee with you and leave it on the counter when you depart. We hope you understand and we look forward to hosting you and your fur-baby). Male pets MUST be Neutered. Dogs only (cats, birds and other pets considered with pre-approval). Thank you!
To help us keep costs and fees down please be mindful of leaving on excessive lights on when you are gone from the rental.
Check-out: please wash your dishes, bag your trash and strip the linens.

The view of the mountains was beautiful! We really enjoyed staying in this cabin and being so close to Grayson Highlands State Park. Ashley was great as a host. We were surprised that the bottom floor was a completely different entrance from the main floor, but luckily my kids are old enough that it was fine. The details of the cabin were really nice. Overall a wonderful experience!
The experience we had staying far exceeded our hopes in a home and area. The house was extremely clean and bug free. The house had everything we needed and the kitchen is complete with all you need to prepare meals just bring your food and you will be set. If you find the need for something the drive isn't too far. The host also made our needs and information easy. The views were amazing and i don't think my words can do it justice but you look down from the porch to grassy hills and when you look out you will see beautiful mountains. The views are the best we have ever had, such a peaceful place to be. I know we will stay here again and highly recommend it. I didnt want to give 5 stars but 10 stars wasnt a option.
One of our best vacations; great location for us, as we wanted to spend our mornings and earlier afternoons hiking in Grayson Highland. The trip to the parks was short. After our hikes we all really looked forward to getting back to the cabin for relaxation on the porch. Not a bad view regardless of the weather.
We had an amazing stay at rugby creek. The cabin had unbelieveable views of the mountains and the nearby farm animals. It was so quiet and peaceful, just what this busy family needed. We cooked dinner every night as the kitchen upstairs and downstairs had more than enough pots/pans and cooking utencils. The sofa, chairs and beds were comfortable but my favorite part is the wrap around porch to enjoy the view/fresh air and sounds of nature. The decorations are modern and very impressive. The shower was nice and hot with modern fixtures and great water pressure. The host Ashley is wonderful. She was very responsive and willing to help if needed but we found everything in order. Ashley has a huge heart and runs the rescue farm the property is part of. Don't worry, the house is very private on the edge of the 50 or so acre farm. Ashley gave a tour of her wonderful rescue farm with background of the different animals she has rescued and all is asked is a small donation. If you get to see how hard she works and her dedication to giving all kinds of animals a second chance for a better life, you will want to donate, trust me. We stay in 3 or 4 rentals a year and I will say that this was the most relaxing and best valued rental I have experienced ever. If you want to be busy you can go to a few nearby state parks, go antiquiing, eat at some great restaurants or you can just park the car and enjoy the surrounding mountains, farm animals and wildlife, its your choice.
We are small family farm and enjoy sharing our special place with others. We run a non-profit animal rescue here on the farm as well as sustainable animal practices and horse boarding. We share our vacation rentals to others who want to find the peace and joy that we have in our special area of Appalachia!
