Take some time to relax and reconnect with nature at this extremely unique, custom-built Black Hills mountain-top retreat! Built in 1982 using the stacked cordwood method, this two-story home away from home offers a one-of-a-kind experience for your next escapade to South Dakota.
Upon entering this mountain beauty, you will discover a rustic open floor plan with beautiful new wood flooring and light fixtures, high vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, and a custom hand-hewn log-railed staircase leading to the lofted area. The bright living area invites you to spread out comfortably and enjoy a tranquil evening at home streaming your favorite series and movies on the large 65-inch smart TV. Discover a Vermont Castings wood stove strategically positioned to heat the entire home. The open kitchen has been appointed with everything needed to prepare exquisite homemade meals and includes a dining table enough for large gatherings. This area opens onto an extensive deck with seating and tree-lined views. Be sure to catch the picturesque sunset views from either the front deck or from the hill behind the cabin. The main level also houses two bedrooms with tin ceilings and custom light fixtures. The upper-level loft boasts a luxe sleeping area complete with stained pallet board walls, a walk-in closet, and a fully remodeled bathroom with access to a private deck.
This home away from home is located within five miles of the heart of Custer and just a short drive from amazing local attractions, including Crazy Horse Memorial, Pageant Hill, 1880 Train - Hill City Depot, Custer State Park, Jewel Cave National Monument, Mount Rushmore National Memorial, and Mount Rushmore.
