Adorable A-frame cottage, perfectly appointed and decorated. The hosts thought of every detail. Indoor and outdoor spaces equally inviting, down to the swing next to the creek. The perfect get-away, so much charm and beautiful quiet location near Micheaux State Forest.
This was the cutest cabin....we loved our stay... with hiking on the Appalachian Trail, visiting local breweries, enjoying the animals at Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and experiencing the amazing Gettysburg! From having muffins on the table, to leaving wood for use in the firepit, our host Leann provided us with the best ammenties!
Angled Pine is absolutely amazing! The hosts are very kind and attentive, the property has everything you could possibly need. The back yard and fire pit were wonderful. We saw deer walking along the stream at the edge of the property. Very clean and an easy check in process. 10 out of 10 we highly recommend booking your next getaway at this oasis in the forest!
This home is beautifully decorated and a perfect place to stay. The owners thought of most everything that you could need. It is close to Gettysburg which was the reason for our stay. We enjoyed the evening by the fire surrounded by the sounds of nature. Looking forward to finding a reason to come back! Definitely a 5 star home.
The house was very clean and exactly what I was expecting. Our host, Lee Ann communicated effectively and in a timely manner. I would definitely stay here again! Thanks, Lee Ann!!
We used the Angled Pine as a base for a long weekend in the Carlisle area. It was perfect for our family, including 3 teenage boys.
Lee Ann was very responsive to the few questions we had. The cabin is adorable and well-stocked. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!
This spot served as our home base for visiting Gettysburg, Harper's Ferry, and Antietam. We were on a trip to become more familiar with the important and fascinating history that occurred nearby. The cabin was clean, comfy, and unique. The owners were pleasant and easy to work with. The layout of two of the three beds being up steep stairs may be awkward for less physically able guests, but was awesome for us. I would recommend the property and rent again should an occasion call for it.
This was the perfect getaway for a vacation! Halfway between two state parks, a perfectly appointed A-Frame with more room than you’d expect! Two parents and two teens never felt like we were cramped. We enjoyed the fire pit, the two decks, the outdoor grill, we even spent some quiet moments sitting by the little creek on the property. The owners were lovely to communicate with and very responsive. All in all, a fantastic time at Angled Pine, and I would come back in a heartbeat!
This house and property is picturesque inside and out. Pictures will never do the property justice. It is quiet and such peaceful surroundings you cannot help but relax. Lee Ann has thought of every single thing needed and I mean everything. Sit on the deck, take in the view, fresh air and let this reset your take on the world. We will definitely return.
In all the times we visited Gettysburg and staying at hotels, I wish I knew about this wonderful A-frame tucked away in the woods on Norris Road not far from Gettysburg. Angled Pine was cozy, immaculate, decorated beautifully and was equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. The weather was cold and snowy so we spent much of our time indoors and loved every minute of it. We plan on visiting once again so that we can enjoy the fire pit and stream area. I wouldn't look any further than Angled Pine when booking our next trip to Gettysburg. I would highly recommend this A-frame to friends who wish to visit the area. Many thanks to the property owner for making this place so special and for promptly answering any questions we had.

About the host
Hosted by Lee Ann Burkholder
We have been hosts since 2020 when we bought a cottage in Gettysburg: Hospitality is important to us as we want to provide our guests with the most comfortable stay possible.
Why they chose this property
It was always a dream to purchase a cabin in the woods and when this opportunity presented itself we jumped. The neighbors are wonderful and the road is a private drive, well monitored by the permanent residents. It was a win-win for us from the get-go.
What makes this property unique
Our a-frame has been completely refurbished from top to bottom which makes it so special to us and our guests. Mountain Creek sits at the bottom of our property and is a great place to watch the abundant wildlife.
