About this property

Mine Ridge House; Buggy watching and farm views

Step back in time!
Take a break from the fast pace of life in the house Abner Smoker built in 1949. The home has recently been restored to highlight its mid-century charm. The brick exterior and solid wood floors throughout speak of an age of stabilty and craftsmanship.
You will be transported to simpler times as you listen to the horse drawn buggies clip-clopping by. Wave to the children going by to their one-room school house just down the road.
You"ll make memories for a lifetime at this unique and family-friendly place.
Situated on the corner of a main Amish throughway and a farm road you will not be disappointed if you like to watch horse & buggies and Amish farm life.
The space;
Park your bags inside the enclosed porch until you have the chance to explore and choose your bedroom in this charmingly restored mid-century cape cod country home.

Open the wood and plate-glass door into the large kitchen and connected dining room. You will appreciate the counter space and island for generous food prep space. The original pine floors radiate a cheerful ambiance.

Gather around the regal dining room table to reconnect with each other during meals.

Unwind in the expansive open living room with large windows flooding the whole area with natural sunshine, highlighting the fascinating natural patterns in original walnut hardwood flooring.
The walnut flooring extends into the first floor bedroom w/ a queen bed and attached half bath.

Take the wide, open stairway into the second floor where you will find two spacious bedrooms and a full bath with a tub and shower.

Bedroom 1 features a King bed, a closet as well as a bistro table with two chairs.
A desk and dresser/vanity provide plenty of surface area for your personal effects or laptop.

Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa-bed, a closet, a few chairs and a dresser.
Both upstairs bedrooms sport their own TV.

You will be the sole occupants of the house as well as the shaded lawn.

If you book a stay in Sept. when the grapes are ripe you may be able to enjoy some of what we think are the best Concord grapes we ever tasted. The pics of them in the listing were from last years crop. Just spectacular for a possibly 50 yr. old grape vine!

Perfect Getaway in Ronks! Warm, Friendly, Clean, and Convenient!
Our recent stay at this VRBO property in Ronks, Pennsylvania, was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The warmth and friendliness of our host was evident in every detail, making our stay truly memorable. The house itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Every room was spotless, and the decor was both charming and inviting. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after our days of exploring. We especially appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, which had everything we needed to prepare meals for our family. The living area was cozy and perfect for relaxing in the evenings, complete with a selection of books and games. One of the standout features of this property is its unbeatable convenience. Located in the heart of Ronks, we were just minutes away from local attractions such as the Amish Village and the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. We also loved the easy access to quaint shops and delightful restaurants, all within a short drive. The outdoor space was another highlight. We enjoyed peaceful mornings with coffee, taking in the beautiful countryside views and the horse and buggy carriages that passed by. Communication with the hosts was seamless, and they were always available to answer any questions we had, offering great tips on local attractions and dining options in their handy binder. Their hospitality truly made our stay special. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place.
