Downtown Retreat 5 mins to UT and Market Square

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place.

This private, downstairs apartment is perfect for short or longer stays. With a fully stocked kitchen, two bedrooms both with king beds, one bathroom, and a washer & dryer in the unit you'll have everything you need for your stay!

The only shared spaces with the upstairs apartment is the parking/driveway. Everything else is separate and private!

All rooms have a smart TV and room darkening curtains. Both bedrooms have a king bed with cotton sheets with plenty of pillows and blankets available.

The patio area has plenty of seating, as well as a hammock and grill for maximum relaxation.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary utensils and cooking equipment including:
-Ninja coffee maker with pod adapter
-Airfryer
-InstantPot
-Blender
-Mixing bowls, measuring cups
-Assortment of baking dishes
-Assortment of cooking utensils
-Dishwasher
-Refrigerator/freezer

There is a washer and dryer located in the bathroom.

The fireplace is NOT operational; but you can still enjoy the multitude of games, comfy furniture, and TV in the living room!

There are two mini-split A/C & heating units, each in one of the bedrooms. The whole house A/C is operated by the upstairs HVAC unit, but most vents downstairs are shut, so the mini-splits control the temperature well downstairs.

**Parking is only available for two vehicles in the concrete driveway.**

Outlet plugs and cabinet locks available, but not installed throughout the house. It is child and infant friendly, but there is no crib or other infant amenities.

We had a great stay, the property was perfect for us to stay at while we moved our daughter into the UTK. It was super clean, easy to access. I was a little suspicious of the area it is on the end of a transitional area but it was fine and had a security system. Very convenient to the University and restaurants

Great location for UT campus. Cute and cozy apartment. Wonderful communication from owner. Will definitely stay again. One thing to note is that the upstairs unit controls the AC so it can get cold downstairs (pack accordingly) but there are individual units in the bedrooms

We visited our daughters at UT and this place was perfect and pet friendly - quaint, clean, excellent communication from the owner and 2 BRs both w king beds….8 mins from their dorm and apartment!! We were pleasantly surprised w the amenities (TVs, bathroom accessories, kitchen utensils pots n pans, Spices/condiments, extra pillows/blankets, and even a couple laundry pods to get us started.). Visiting college kids and having a W/D was fantastic.

State championship swim

The property was so convient to get back and forth to UT pool. No traffic all high access roads were easy to naviagate. Really nice to get to downtown for dinners. If you are swimming at states great place to stay.

AWESOME GETAWAY!

What a great little place! Every little detail was there for us. Modern facility and very comfy beds. Very close to the Worlds Fair Ehibition Center where we were for a dog show. We would stay there again 110% satisfied.

Great experience!!

Our family came to Knoxville and stayed in the downtown retreat. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our vacation. The owner was easy to get in touch with and handled everything we needed. We would highly recommend staying here and seeing downtown Knoxville.

Wonderful rental near downtown Knoxville and UT

Nice place to stay. Convenient location, close to the university and downtown. Quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean and new or recently remodeled. Excellent and helpful host. Very responsive. Host provides some nicr snacks and even some wonderful homemade banana bread! Would stay again for sure... is there a sixth star available?

We had an excellent stay at the Downtown Retreat! The property was exactly as described in the listing. Extremely clean with lots of personal touches. The home was equipped with everything we needed plus more. The neighborhood was safe and quiet and we enjoyed walking our dog around the area. Super close to downtown and very accessible to everything. We will definitely be back!

Quaint Property Perfect Location

We had a great stay at this property. It was truly in the heart of downtown so we were able to get to all of the locations we were visiting within a 4 to 6 minute drive. The house was very clean and just enough space for two people, while there are two bedrooms I feel like it may be a little snug for 4 people. Only concerns were, the property driveway was not very well marked, so Uber has had a hard time finding it, or would pass the driveway. And the other note is whoever lives upstairs, does have a dog which was quite loud in the mornings, but other than that, no complaints, would definitely stay again!

A little difficult to see and park. Location was overly complicated to access the several freeways that converged at Summit Hill. Interior was very nice. Had more equipment than necessary for such a small kitchen. There was no ability to control the temperature as it was set and managed from the apartment above. The minisplits AC did not cure this problem at all. It was too uncomfortable for us and I had to purchase more clothing. Other than that, it was very nice.
