Super beautiful private cabin. The Lake view was amazing from both up and down! Good Bass and Northern fishing lake. Nice clean rooms, and our host was wonderful. The Mississippi runs into Rice lake. It was amazing seeing all the wild rice along the banks!

This cabin is wonderful - clean, cute and the view of the lake is marvelous. It is private and quiet. A great place to decompress and embrace the beauty that Brainerd has to offer.

Great cabin!

My friend and I spent a couple nights at this cabin and it was perfect! The area was peaceful, the lake was great for canoeing and watching lions, and the cabin was exactly as it was described! Highly recommend!!

An amazing getaway with our dogs:)

This place was absolutely beautiful!! The views were spectacular and the Loon and Eagle sightings and sounds just made it perfect. The location is great for many daytime adventures and we would suggest this home to anyone! Our dogs loved just looking out the windows and wandering around the yard on their leashes:)

Wonderful and brand new! We had a very nice stay in this brand new little cabin. It was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The owner lives on the property and is very helpful and friendly. We would stay there again!

Quick 2 night get away

Nice little cabin, location was secluded enough for privacy but close enough to grab supplies. We were fortunate that the large sister property wasn’t rented same time as our stay so we had the property to ourselves. Had some minor issues while at the cabin but property manger responded quickly. Over all- great stay at the location! Beautiful relaxing place.

Very nice cabin with a great view and good fishing. WiFi was pretty sketchy but that was no big deal. Would rather fish and watch nature than look at emails.

Needs work!!

The cabin was remodeled and cute. Grill was so dirty a fire broke out in the bottom tray because of all the debris. We wanted to switch it out but there was no replacement tray. Landscaping outdoor solar lights outside were all pulled up and all over the place. One was smashed up and I cut my foot on it!! Screen door tracks are so dirty that it's impossible to open and close them and they fall off. We counted 27 woodpecker holds outside the cabin and the woodpecker non-stop pecks at the cabin ALL DAY. Wi Fi cuts out every ten minutes. It's too bad that whoever maintains this property does not do a better job as it has a lot of potential.

Cabin was clean, well stocked, quiet and had a beautiful lake view. It had everything that we needed and a bonus was that it was pet friendly. It was also located close to Brainerd and many attractions. We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful girls weekend. The cabin is stocked with amenities we all need during our stay. The cabin was warm and cozy and the beds were so comfortable! The atmosphere outside the cabin is rustic and peaceful. Perfect little simple place with a beautiful view of the lake and beautiful sunsets. We all agreed we would come back for sure. Cabin was clean and smelled good. Thank you also for being so responsive to our messages when we messaged you. Easy check in and check out too!

Peaceful cabin - beware of poison ivy

We enjoyed our stay here - the windows overlooking the lake are beautiful and the furnishings are mostly updated. However, as a previous review mentioned, there is a lot of poison ivy growing around the property. I wouldn’t have even noticed (or expected to have poison ivy growing around a vacation rental) and things might have gone south if our dog had gotten into it. Note that the “get directions” button will lead you to the neighbors house, and that the cabin is not the first house you see when you drive into the property, but rather to the left side, through some unkempt walkways, and down rather large steps to the front door.

Peaceful, Quiet, relaxing, wonderful views!

Overall: House is very clean and nice/newish. Location is great, close to town but very private. Quiet lake. House is modern and nicely laid out. Thankful for the little treats on the table :-) Pros: Loved the sitting room with wonderful view, like you are right on the water. Deck was great for morning coffee. Bedroom was great, Handy separate patio entry for letting dogs out away from guests in other house. Good size bathroom. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend here but, were hesitant to invite others/adult children & Spouses due to sleeping all in one room. Handy to have many dishes, cups and coffee maker, as well as, large refrigerator. We didn't use but, had nice couch/tv and dining areas.Cons: The walk to the cabin is uneven and no walkway. Should have light at night on side of house to help get there, it was treacherous walking in pouring rain in the dark to the cabin door one night. Poison Ivy galore! It is all along bank to lake & actually growing into grass right outside back door. Also, along driveway and even road it is EVERYWHERE! I have never seen so much and so large poison Ivy. Not fault of owner, just a fact of life but, just think people should be aware in case, like me, they are very allergic to it. Steps/entry are a little cumbersome if you have old pets or small children. My little 15 year old dog fell down short set of steps (she was fine surprisingly). The set up is very neat/nice but, just something to be aware/careful of.

Good things: Clean and modern interior. Great lake views. Good communication. Outside grill was good. Caught bluegills, bass, pike, bullheads and catfish.Quirks: Steps to cabin not even. Grass wasn't trimmed to water's edge, I had to buy a trimmer to knock down high weeds and sticks and stuff so we could fish from back yard.

Great lake front cabin

The two of us had a wonderful stay. We had a great time in the canoe and did some fishing in the lake. We also had some wonderful campfires in the evening and enjoyed a the quiet and beauty. The sunset views both inside and outside were spectacular. We loved the big windows open to the outdoors, matter where we were, we were surrounded by nature. Also, Rebecca, who helps manage the property was amazingly responsive and supportive when questions came up.

A great option

The cabin was clean and cozy, and the location was great. Close to town yet nestled in a very quiet neighborhood. We saw quite a few folks fishing, so the lake seems like a good fishing spot, but there was a ton of algae, so probably not great for swimming. We decided to drive to other lakes for our beach days. There is Wi-Fi, but it wasn't reliable enough to get some of my work projects sent out, so we had to go into town. We did find a coffee shop called Loco Espress that had great Wi-Fi and fun coffee/tea drinks. Lastly, we brought our two small pups. They had a great time. There were lots of nice places to walk them in the area. We did however get barked and growled at by the three large off-leash neighbor dogs when we went out on the dock, so if you are bringing your pups, be aware. Overall, we had a great stay. Highly recommend.

Lovely quick getaway

My husband and I decided last minute to come up to Brainerd for few day getaway. The location on the lake is beautiful. We brought our SUPs and paddled every day, and did some mountain biking nearby in Cuyuna State Park. Property was perfect for our needs, property manager super responsive, we'd definitely come back here again.

Quiet Retreat

The house was a quaint, clean, and quiet place to stay. We very much enjoyed spending time on the dock and on the small balcony outside the sitting area. Owner could spend a little more TLC on the outside spaces, but it really didn't make our stay unpleasant in any way.

Quaint place

Overall nice, quaint place. Quiet, peaceful location. Beds/mattresses need to be updated. Would benefit from more comfortable seating (ie larger couch) in the main area. Had a wonderful, delicious meal from local establishment (Dunmire’s), highly recommend it.
