Comfortable, 3 bedroom/2 bath, relaxing and roomy getaway. All just a 3 minute walk to beach! Sleeps up to 12! Family games around the large island, a soothing soak in the hot tub. Gather on the oversize deck with a peek a boo view of the water! gaze at the stars at night. A foot wash and outside shower after a beach day. Free WIFI. Far enough away from town to spread out, but close enough to get there within 15-20 minutes. Beach chairs, towels and Water toys! Keeping beach life simple!

My family has rented the Salty American for our annual beach vacation for 3 years in a row! The house is always clean top to bottom and has everything you need for your getaway! And I can’t say enough about the host and hostess! Friendly, accessible, and always go the extra mile to ensure a great experience for you and your family! Bonus, the beach that is a short walk from the house, has never been overly crowded, even over a holiday weekend!!! We will be back!!

Galveston Getaway Extraordinaire

This short vacation was made perfect by a perfect place to stay, clean and very well appointed. We were a block from the beautiful beach and the house made clean up easy with a spray station and shower available downstairs. We are definitely coming back to Salty American!

Home and property are very well maintained. Hosts are very friendly and responsive to questions with quick resolutions, when needed. Great location from center of Galveston. The hot tub was a bonus!

Our favorite spot in Galveston!

We have been in several properties on the west side of Galveston over the course of the last 6 years, and this one is our favorite by far! Plenty of room and very close to the beach. Deck furniture was comfortable; my mother-in-law loved the swing-chair! The kitchen was fantastic and well-appointed, so we used it quite a bit in our stay. Beds were comfortable for every one (15YO-88YO in our group.) Definitely will book The Salty American again when we head back down.

Great Galveston Getaway!

My family and I had a great time at the Salty American over Memorial Day Weekend! The house was perfect for our needs. It really is only a 3 minute walk to the beach! And, despite it being a holiday weekend, that part of the beach was busy but not elbow to elbow! Very family friendly area. And we can’t say enough good things about the hosts. They were so responsive and accommodating. The house is well appointed and has everything you will need or want for a beach vacation!

This is probably one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed at. The attention to detail was incredible. There was so much more than I expected. The place was immaculately clean, there were so many towels provided, the kitchen was well equipped, and much better than any other place I’ve ever stayed at. The little extra touches all around with the decor made for an incredible atmosphere while we stayed. The proximity to the beach was perfect, and the added benefit of the outdoor shower, outdoor bathroom, and the hot tub were fabulous. 10 out of 10 would recommend, and will definitely be booking again many thanks to Mary for her Great communication.
