About this property

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis at the mouth of the Perquiman's River on the Albemarle Sound away from all the hustle and bustle.

Relax on the large dock, paddle board ( 2 supplied), kayak (1 supplied for now. We are in the process of replacing a lost one), fish, or just float the day away in the shallow water (water is 2-3 ft.) - a great place to unwind, relax, and enjoy nature's beauty! Look for bald eagles, turtles, otters, jumping fish and even dolphin from the comfort of your dock. Or, watch the local crabbing boats pull their daily catch from the river.

When the sun goes down, challenge your friends and family to a game of ping pong, darts, or shuffleboard, and roast some marshmallows outside over the fire.

About 20 minutes to Elizabeth City.
Approx. 30 minutes to Edenton.
Approx. 1 hour 15 minutes to Kitty Hawk beaches on the OBX.

Please do not leave anything on the dock overnight. The winds are very unpredictable, and hosts are not responsible for items blown into the river.

There is no jumping or diving into the water from the dock! The water is very shallow (2-3 ft) and extreme injury or death may occur.

Use extreme caution when entering the water using the stairs from the dock. The submerged steps may be slippery!!

Quiet family getaway

This was our first family getaway that did not involve seeing extended family and my kids are still talking about the trip! There was so much to do that everyone had something fun to do. My kids loved being in the water and playing darts. My husband enjoyed being able to fish right out of the backyard and how quiet it was. I enjoyed sitting outside and watching the wildlife (loved seeing the bald eagle that landed on the dock!). Will definitely be staying here again!

Connect with nature, read for hours on the dock, or lounge in the hammock in the back yard. A true getaway!
Harvey Point Defense Testing facility is located directly across the river. Sometimes you'll hear them detonating trial bombs. It can be surprising, but it's also really fun!
