Great location. This was the 4th time we have stayed at this location in the last 10 years and was happy to see some updates but still some needed improvements: living room furniture, table, chairs and barstools all need to be replaced. Old and stained. Kitchen updates were nice.
Beach view was best part of stay. Excellent. Suggestions: need new stove- not working correctly, towell rack in master needs repair- minor. I felt the size of condo was small compared to price. We enjoyed our stay.
The building, pool, beach access were all fantastic. Having the balcony and being on the 4th floor was awesome. The bar by the beach was great and bartenders were all friendly as was the little coffee shop on site. The furnishings in the actual unit were just ok. The kitchen silverware, pots, tools...were awful. They were old and warped and just plain cheap. Everything needs replacing except for the glasses. The furniture was also just fair. The couch was saggy and nothing felt terribly clean. The bathroom fan was broken, kitchen faucet leaked and didn't work properly, windows were very dirty...The place needs attention.
Owner was great! Communicated well when questions were asked and very flexible. Location of condo within the complex was excellent (great view) being beachfront. Wish there would have been more hooks to hang items and/or a drying rack.
Amazing communication with the hosts! Property was clean, safe, inviting and extremely relaxing. We enjoyed our stay very much & look forward to coming back!
This condo has a very cozy and welcoming feel. Its not overly fancy and was described well. Quiet area just south of Johns Pass where we spent some time taking in the culture. Beach was steps away and clean. Our balcony view of the gulf was amazing!
Beautiful area, so much to do, lots to walk to.
The unit was great, just a whistling noise when it's really windy in the smaller bedroom since it's a corner.
A couple of unexplained alarms went off during our stay as well. The restaurant on site had good food.
We had an amazing time in this condo. This unit is directly facing the beach it has a full view of the ocean and the pool. We loved waking up and being able to open the curtains hearing the ocean sounds and having the beach right in front of us. The management team was wonderful. They were very understanding and communicated with us for any special request that we needed. It was amazing costumer service that made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.
Everytime my wife's sister visits us from Kentucky, we always spend the last few days of her trip at Sunset Vista. When we check out, its just a short trip to the St. Pete airport to drop her off, and a 60 mile car trip for us to get home. On this visit, we were able to get a condo facing the ocean, and the view is so much better. We were close to our car, the elevator and the pool.
Overall the unit was awesome (clean, plenty of space)! Great location, great views! Good restaurant on property! The actual outside property, by pool area had lots of bugs, etc. could use a good spray.
The beach was amazing not a lot of people, The pool was amazing. We felt like the pool wasn’t being monitored by the people staying in Sunset. There were other people from other hotels coming to the pool taking over not respecting the property. Throwing trash over the fence. It’s turtle season and there’s signs not to use any light on the beach. But people were still doing it. The inside needs a bit of updating. The pictures on site was not accurate. We had chair covers on the dining room seats and living room chair. There was a missing table chair. The master bedroom can use another mattress. The bathrooms needed more hooks. The beach towels were thin. Needs to be up dated. But the views were amazing.
When we arrived on-site 10:00pm, our code wouldn't work. We reached out to the host only not to hear from anyone so we checked into a nearby hotel. We then heard from the host the next morning only to be told that our code was working now so why not last night. As if we were not telling the truth. Since the host never said anything about making sure this wasn't going to happen throughout a stay, or the fact that we had a sure way of getting into our condo with no issues. My husband being proactive decided to book the hotel for that we were staying in for the week. We have yet to hear from the host or owners regarding compensation of our issues. And their property manager didn't handle the situation well.

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience upon arrival. We understand how frustrating it can be to encounter a challenge with the lock after a long day of travel.
As soon as we were made aware of the problem, we were in touch with you by 7:00 a.m. the following morning and arrived at the property shortly thereafter to inspect the lock. Everything was fully operational at that time. We had multiple phone calls and text exchanges with you that morning to try to work through this challenge. To further assist, we also offered to provide a physical key to help avoid any potential concern with the smart lock during your stay.
We have never experienced this with the lock, and the two bookings who stayed immediately after your reservation also had no trouble accessing the unit, so this appears to have been an isolated, one-time issue.
The condo was ready and available for the remainder of your stay, and we even offered compensation for the first night plus an additional $100 as a goodwill gesture. We truly made every effort to resolve the matter quickly and ensure your satisfaction.
