Newly built, pet friendly, spacious modern mountain home, with breathtaking views, private hot tub and excellent WiFi. Only 5 miles North of Alma and less than 14 miles from Breckenridge, this home is a perfect home base for all of your Colorado adventures. Welcome to the Yellow Rose Retreat!
Wind your way up the long driveway to a quiet and secluded mountain side perch where you are greeted by a sleek and modern exterior that blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. The large windows offer a glimpse of the stunning views that await inside.
Upon entering, you step into a midlevel entryway with stairs up to an open-concept living area. The spacious living area features high ceilings, glass doors and large windows that flood the space with natural light. The living room is tastefully furnished with comfortable seating, a cozy gas fireplace, and a large flat-screen TV. Relish in the modern mountain decor with unique and personal touches that will have you feeling right at home.
Next to the living room is the state-of-the-art kitchen, equipped with top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and a spacious double island with high-top seating for 6. The well appointed kitchen and wet bar are full stocked with all the kitchen gadgets and accouterments you could desire and are perfect for whipping up gourmet meals while enjoying the breathtaking mountain views. Just off the kitchen is the spacious dining area, where you can enjoy your meals while taking in the picturesque scenery through the expansive windows. A sliding glass door leads you outside to the spacious elevated deck, where you find BBQ grill and a private hot tub waiting for you to relax and unwind while admiring the majestic mountain vistas.
Down a short hallway is a large laundry room with a full-size washing machine, dryer, and utility sink. A large kennel and dog dishes are available for use when bringing furry family along on your Park County adventure and next to the laundry room is a convenient half bathroom with a standard vanity, and toilet.
The top floor master suite, features a plush, king size bed fitted with cozy cotton bed linens, a corner desk space and huge windows overlooking the majestic mountains. The luxurious attached bathroom features, a double vanity, glass-enclosed shower, private toilet and huge walk-in closet.
Down the steps to the ground floor of the home you'll discover a spacious mudroom with plentiful storage for all of your adventure gear. Enjoy a ground floor entertainment room with comfortable seating centered around a flatscreen TV. The ground floor bathroom, offers a standard vanity, toilet, and a bathtub, shower combo where you can choose to start your day off with a refreshing rinse or sink in for a long hot soak after a long day on the slopes.
The ground floor of the home offers two more bedrooms, each beautifully appointed and offering plenty of space for friends or family members. The bunk bedroom features a large closet and two sets of custom built, oversize (king-length) twin bunkbeds, ideal for the young ones (or young at heart) in your party. Placer Valley is home to a variety of wildlife and this spectacular location affords opportunities to observe Elk, Deer and Foxes (just to name a few!) right on the property. Additionally, the wetland area located less than 1 mile from the home is one of the few areas where you may be able to see Moose in their natural habitat.
Park County is an activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, it's a great "Base Camp!" If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain climbing, snow-shoeing, horseback riding (winter too!), ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, mine exploration, canoeing, kayaking, and much much more.

* Guests are required to have a four-wheel drive vehicle with adequate snow tires or chains during the winter months from November through May. Gravel roads may be rough. The area is subject to frequent unpredictable and adverse weather conditions which can make travel difficult.
* Driveways are plowed each time there is 4” of new snow. High winds may cause drifting snow on driveways and roads. Roads are plowed and maintained by the county and are cleared on a priority basis. Please use caution as stairs, decks, sidewalks, driveways and roads may be slippery when wet or icy.
* This home is located in a rural high alpine mountain environment where wildlife, insects and rodents may be encountered. The home is also equipped with a well water system and may have variability in taste, smell or mineral content based on time of year and usage.
* Guests will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement after booking.
* This home is pet friendly. There is a $50 fee for each pet, and all pets must be approved. This fee is not included in the quoted rate, and will be charged after the booking is confirmed or the day of arrival on the reservation.
