We designed our cottage as a place to find rest, peace and restoration. Your cozy retreat awaits at Lake Loramie next to the state park. Start your mornings sipping coffee or tea outside and then take a walk around the picturesque lake or find your own fishing spot. Kayaks are available to rent nearby. Relax in the hammocks or sit around a campfire. In the colder season, cozy up to the electric fireplace, work on a puzzle, play games, read or watch a movie. We hope you find restoration here.

We had a great stay! The house was very cute and cozy, beds were comfortable, and the amenities were as advertised. The stocked coffee/tea bar and fire pit were extra perks. The host was very responsive during check in/out. We will definitely be staying here again!

The cottage was equipped with everything I needed. It was a very quiet neighborhood in September. It is close to the park and there is a nice diner style restaurant within 2 miles. It worked perfectly for my goal of hiking the St Mary's section of the Buckeye Trail. It is perfectly situated about 1 mile from the trail and in the middle of the section. The hosts were amazing.

Peaceful and relaxing

This was a perfect little cottage for a quiet getaway to get my wits about me before heading back into teaching for the fall term. Walking around the neighborhood was lovely, and all of the neighbors that I met were so friendly. I also enjoyed walking the trails in the state park.

Fabulous Stay & Host

This is a very cute, beautifully decorated, and exceptionally clean cottage.It had everything we could have asked for.From our initial inquiry to the day we left, Kayla was an excellent communicator. We had a couple of questions during our stay, and she responded immediately.The home was incredibly well-equipped, especially the kitchen. There was a Keurig for our morning coffee, all the cookware and utensils we needed, and even thoughtful extras that made our stay feel just like home. It was cold while we were there so we loved the fireplace heater in the living room. We enjoyed walking around the eclectic neighborhood and exploring. The proximity to the lake was great, and being so close to Fort Laramie State Park was a huge bonus. We even spotted pelicans, eagles, and a large flock of vultures—such a cool experience!We would absolutely stay again.

We are Kurt and Kayla. We have dreamed of offering a place for people to find respite and peace from this busy world. Now that our kids are older, we finally have the opportunity to make this a reality with our Lake Cottage Retreat. We hope you love this tiny cottage as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

The Lake Loramie area is quiet and peaceful. We love walking and riding bikes around the community or just sitting by the water. I have been amazed at the variety of birds we see including eagles, osprey, herons, woodpeckers and even pelicans and swans in the spring when they are migrating. The nearby state park offers kayaking, a sand beach, frisbee golf and hiking trails.

What makes this property unique

Our tiny cottage is just 600 square feet but offers a comfortable living space. The large kitchen is well supplied and features a coffee bar with Keurig, Pour-over and French press. The home is decorated with modern comfort, and everyone loves the living plants throughout. We have hammocks to hang in the backyard and a chimenea for backyard fires. 3 bikes can be used upon request.
