About this property
Charming lake house retreat, great for the whole family! 45 min to Cooperstown!
Nestled on a generous one-acre lot and perched on the shores of a 70-acre pristine lake, this beautiful home stands as a testament to the enduring beauty of lakeside living. The home’s floor to ceiling windows invites the outdoors in and provides captivating views of the lake. Enjoy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen with gorgeous views of the lake + recharge at the coffee bar. Fully renovated upstairs bathroom with large tub and beautiful shower.
The large home hosts four bedrooms, two upstairs and two downstairs, perfect for immediate families, multi-generations, or friends. The large deck and full acre property provides ample space for picnics, grilling, and outdoor gatherings, making memories that last a lifetime. There is ample space in the yard to camp out for a night of incredible stargazing while enjoying s'mores at the fire pit.
Enjoy peaceful strolls on the quiet street. The long, private driveway has parking for up to 4 cars.
The picturesque boathouse stands proudly at the water’s edge, awaiting your next lake adventure, be it fishing, canoeing, paddle boating or swimming (canoes and paddle boats included in your stay - BYO fishing gear). There is a public boat access ramp for those that want to tow their own speed boat for waterskiing or fishing. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish, including black crappie, brown trout, pickerel, pumpkinseed sunfish, rock bass, white sucker, yellow perch, rainbow trout, largemouth bass, and walleye. The shoreline has a gradual incline, which is safe + easy for kids swimming.
In the winter, the expansive lot transforms into a snowy wonderland, with ice skating, sledding, and ice fishing on the frozen lake. If you love skiing, Greek Peak Mountain Resort is under an hour away.
Allow time to slow down and find adventure on the water or tranquility on the shore!
The home is centrally located (3 hours from NYC + Philadelphia, 4 hours from Boston), with amazing attractions and Universities all within a short drive.
The quaint town of Oxford has the region’s best farmer’s market every Saturday morning. Hike around the many nearby parks, including the beautiful Bowman Lake just north of Oxford.
Drive 12 minutes to Norwich and enjoy the delicious French bakery La Maison Blanche Bakery & Cafe and the Northeast Classic Car Museum. If you forget your own fishing gear, there is a fantastic sporting goods store called Mayhoods near Norwich.
For baseball lovers, the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame and Dreams Park is a 45 minute drive away.
Drive 32 miles to Smyrna and you’ll be awestruck by the gorgeous wolves at the amazing Wolf Mountain Nature Center.
Drive 20 minutes to Unadilla and take a step back in time at the nostalgic Drive-In movie theater.
Or, spend the day ambling around the many different antique stores in Bainbridge and surrounding areas.
