4/1/2025 UPDATE: Turtle's Tiki Bar & Grille and Shima Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar are open to our rental guests. Sundial Resort is offering Sundial Daycation passes from Wednesday to Sunday (main pool, beach chair, and umbrella service) on a limited basis through March 31, 2026 (reservation required: 866-565-5093 or sundialresort.com for details and cost). Also, discounted Sundial Resort day passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis ($25/day adults, $15/day kids) with valid proof of rental booking. No advanced reservations accepted. Availability of these day passes is not guaranteed as advance sale day passes can sell out.

New Years on Sanibel Island

This was our 3rd visit to Sanibel, all at different accommodations and all have been very relaxing. The Condominium unit is nicely appointed and is very roomy inside. We enjoyed breakfast and lunches on the balcony space each day. This unit had two king size beds and that was a major rationale for our selection, as we had two adult couples in our party. The beds were very comfortable, with the exception of the bedding, which can use an upgrade. With that said......Enjoy!

Nice view, but showing it’s age

A musty stuffy smell greeted us at the door, but we appreciated the awesome view of lagoon, pool and ocean. The musty smell was strong and greeted us each time we entered. That, coupled with the mold in the master bathroom made for lots of sneezing and runny noses. AC went out due to a failed thermostat, and water was out for 4 hours on two days due to water main break in the complex. Maintenance was fast and responsive and we spent most days at the beach, so not too bad overall, just expecting better for the price.
