The view at this house will not disappoint! We've been coming to the mountains for a number of years and this is by far the best view of the mountains we've had. The home is lovely and very well stocked and the host is friendly and answered every question in minutes.

The view is worth the drive up !! The hosts absolutely prepared me for the access road and how to find the home. It was an easy check-in and the host was very accommodating! It was a great location for a week at the John C Campbell Folk School - maybe a 12-minute drive (or less) - and a place to decompress each day! The view is the highlight!! I'd definitely recommend the listing to others.

We rent VRBO every year. This was the nicest equipped place we have ever stayed. It way over exceeded our expectations. The furniture was very comfortable. There was an incredible view from the mountain site.

Love Raccoon Ridge. The road up the Mt is dicey, but we still have rented this home for 3 years. Comfortable furniture. Everyone has their own level to spread out. This house is 10 miles from everything. We will be back again next year. Oh. Did I mention the sunsets. Outstanding.

Yup, it is paved but narrow, so we post video on our personal website before folks commit--that's the price for having that view :-) We appreciate you adopting our house with us ! It's not fancy but most folks feel at home rather than feeling like a cold condo or something. Talk to you next year!

The home was beautiful, sleeps 9 easily, porches with lots of seating , well stocked kitchen, with views and gorgeous sunsets. Mornings watching the deer come into the yard. The host was very easy to work with. Just a tip, the road up takes getting used to. Narrow if going up you may need to back up to let others get by coming down . But the view is worth it. Fields of the Woods, Brasstown Bald, Vogel State Park, the CCC Center was very interesting, apple orchards in Blue Ridge and Elijay are all beautiful day trips. We also love Wayah Bald in Franklin. We loved our time here in this home relaxing, time with family and letting go of daily stress.A great place to make memories.

We had a wonderful christmas week at Murphy. The lovely, cozy house with a stunning view made our time perfect. The view is unbelievable and the different walks in the woods nearby made our stay complete. Thanks again to the fantastic host, who is very nice, welcoming and caring about his guests. The kids loved the house a lot, that they couldnt understand why we left after a week they enjoyed the games, their own space and a walk in the area nearby.

An amazing house and location!!! The house was more than big enough for the three of us. It would easily fit 3 couples with plenty of privacy. The house was very well appointed and had everything we needed for our extended stay. The views and sunsets were unbelievably spectacular and there were lots of birds, squirrels, and even some deer. The internet was perfect allowing me to work remotely with no problem. If we’re ever in the area again we would definitely love to stay here again!

Perfect getaway

We have stayed at other cabins before in the area but this place was by far the best we have stayed in. It was only the two of us and the house could have housed a large family, plus! The home has everything you need and then some! What stands out is the views of the mountains and watching the sunsets. Seen deer and turkeys while there also. Would love to come back in the fall to see the that view! Would highly recommend. We had the most relaxing time!

A little piece of heaven!

The owners did not oversell this property one bit. It was everything they said and then some. The house is beautiful, clean, well supplied and had many little extras. The view, especially at sunset, is indescribable! God put on a show for us every night! Perfect place. Perfect host. I want to give it 10 stars!

I have stead on Raccoon Ridge 2 times. The Outlook home is prefect for family and friends to spread out and have their own space. Of course the home has million dollar views so you can just breath. I am already making plans to come back next year for a longer period of time. The kitchen was supplied was condiment, spices, coffee, tea, sandwich bags, paper towels, etc. Host was always available for anything. TV & wifi were perfect too. Great place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The Mountain views were incredible. The house was great, stocked with everything we needed, and was very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of room for five of us. Our host did a nice job of communicating with prior to and during our stay, ensuring that everything would be smooth for us. We felt very welcomed and look forward to our next visit.

This was a great place for anyone attending classes at the local folk school or families on vacation. The sunset views each evening were beautiful and drinking coffee on the porch overlooking the valley in the mornings felt peaceful. There was plenty of space to spread out and we especially enjoyed the entertainment area on the bottom level. The road is steep and narrow, but paved which made it easy for both our suv and sedan to navigate. This is a great place for anyone who loves to be in nature and near hiking trails and waterways.
