Great Place

This was the perfect place to stay in Cedar Key. It was decorated beautifully. It felt completely homey and comfortable. There was plenty of room for parking our boat and easily getting it in and out of the property. Definitely plan on rebooking there.

Beautiful spot on the lagoon. We even saw a bald eagle soaring over the water. Slight confusion about which side of the duplex was supposed to be our rental. It would be helpful to have the units clearly marked A and B.

questionable cleaning fee on the way out...

The owner attempted to add an “additional cleaning fee” for items such as food residue inside the dishwasher after we washed all the dishes (because it is old and the filter is meant to catch food anyway) and my friend using an ashtray outside that was provided for that purpose. The fee didn’t get removed until I asked for proof and pointed out that we followed all of the owners rules. Beware. (Otherwise, we thought the property had a view and had a nice time... too bad the questionable fee put a damper on things)

We do note at the time of securing a reservation that additional fees may be imposed if the check-out instructions are not followed. We do have simple instructions in place as they greatly help with the cleaning process so that the home can be professionally cleaned and guest ready within a few hours, often on the same day of check-out. A great vacation starts and ends with the place you stay. Cleanliness, comfort, and communication are the most important things to our family. We were fortunate enough to find all of that and more at Sunset Cove. It felt like home and Denise & Andy, felt like family. We rented both units and each had their own personal touch. I don't even know where to start! The property is amazing from top to bottom. The owner is gracious and inviting, and contacts you prior to check in. The upstairs apartment is clean and impeccably decorated. The FULL kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cups, cutlery, pots, pans - everything you need to make a meal. The rooms are cozy, but well designed for a spacious feeling. The deck just off the kitchen has the most spectacular views at sunrise and sunset - bring your good camera. Downstairs is an area that can be used for covered parking or muddy equipment storage - plenty of water access to clean your gear. A covered picnic table for open air eating and a little grill just a few feet away. Everything is well maintained and CLEAN. DID I MENTION the private dock? The mullet can be seen jumping from dawn to dusk. My family loved every aspect of this property, and we hope to stay here again.

Cedar Key is a special place in Florida. What a great small town with very friendly people! The rental was just as pictured and was a perfect spot to watch the abundant wildlife, beautiful sunsets and amazing star gazing. Fun time near the water

My family and I had a good time at this rental property. I really dont have anything bad to say about it. The only down side is there is only 1 bathroom and for a family of 4 that is a little hard to manage but other than it was good. The internet service isn't great and they have satellite TV so it wasn't avaliable alot of the time (this mainly bothered our teenager) but it's a good space with lots of outdoor room and beautiful sunsets.

Great place for a quick weekend getaway! Close to the town while still being off the main drag which was important to me. Could see lots of stars from the porch. Very relaxing and comfortable place. The owner is super flexible, responds quickly, and is very accommodating! She has gone above and beyond her role as an owner. The duplex had everything we needed. Plenty of parking, lot size was awesome, beds were perfect!

Sunset Cove a great spot!

Denise, our main contact was exceptional at making herself available for any need we might have had! Easy check in process. The property is older and there are little things that could have been more comfortable...the couches are pretty worn with little support. However, the place was clean and the bed in the master was her comfortable. Nice to have a full kitchen and only wish the pans were in better shape. The non stick pans were very old and lots of scratches and wear. Having some champagne glasses would be great too and some matching wine glasses. Overall though really great...million dollar view!

Little piece of paradise

Perfect getaway for a fishing family! Host was amazing at helping us find restaurants and places to rent kayaks/golf carts. Very accommodating with early check-in/late check-out. Family had a blast fishing and crabbing from the deck. The host thought of just about everything especially comes to kitchen supplies (margarita blender, crab steamer pot, bottle openers, etc). If you’re looking for a quick relaxing getaway in a small quiet town that’s like a blast from the past, I definitely recommend.

Great Duplex In Cedar Key All You Need

From the dock on the gulf coast to the well laid out rooms. This is all you need to have a great time in Cedar Key Florida. It is a hiiden jewel in Florida, and this is the perfect place to stay. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, tv. Also within walking distance to the Tiki Bar and a very short drive to downtown to shops and restaurants. You can see the sunset from the deck and it is gorgeous place.
