We will definitely back ,was a great fishing trip my boys catch huge fish right in front of the cabin, very quiet around perfect for for resting and fishing
We love coming over to the river and this cabin sits right on the shore. Very peaceful and relaxing. Tugs and barges pass by within a couple hundred feet of the dock. We've stayed here twice. The hosts are accommodating and great to work with. Drawbacks include: the lack of water pressure is an extreme inconvenience. Cleanliness was meh.... throw rugs were in great need of washing, floors needed mopping and, when we were wiping things down before departure, we definitely wiped up dust and crumbs that were there before we arrived. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time sitting on the upper deck and the lower deck overlooking the Mississippi. Watched the fishermen, barges, houseboats and eagles. Went to the Genoa Fish Hatchery which was very informative. Went to the Lock and Dam to watch the barges very interesting. In the evening it was fun watching the sunset, sitting around the fire and listening to the owls. The cabin had everything we needed. Cooked one night and ate out at a local restaurant. Had a large table for putting a puzzle together. Definitely recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed the easy access to the water and how clean the property is! Very accommodating with kitchen supplies and linens
We had a wonderful stay on the river. We enjoyed watching the eagles soar, did a little fishing from the dock. The deck and patio area offer amazing views of the river. We will absolutely consider another visit when we’re in the area!
The cleanliness of the cabin is outstanding! It was stocked with everything we needed. The outside patio area is very accommodating. The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant. Thank you Carrie and Todd!
We had stayed at the cabin before and had a great experiance as before. Its super clean and had everything we needed. We could watch the game from underneath the deck while enjoying the outside. The hosts were great not to crowd us, but were there to text questions. The only negative is that i didnt catch many fish, but that was probably my fault. Lol. We enjoyed be close to town and also got to visit a winery. We are hoping to book for next year.
Everything was absolutely amazing!! The only thing we’d recommend is to extend our stay for a whole week! Hosts were very responsive and the neighbors were so nice. We definitely made lasting memories. Gratefully,Kim & Todd Ahnert8-10-2026
