This was a great stay during 4th of July holiday for my family and friends. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable and responded quickly to any questions I had. Would definitely stay there again!

Plenty of space upstairs and downstairs. Spacious kitchen for lots of cooking. Forget coffee filters ; they had them! Great family home with great location!

disappointing rental

The front door must be warped. Key was so difficult to work we had to leave it unlocked most times and even unlocked it was difficult to open. The cleaners said it was the "tricky door" for them as well. A combination lock on the door would be much better. The closet was not adequate, It was a small linen closet with a bar for hanging clothes but the bar was turned the wrong way and was so high that we had to rig up hanging hangers on handgers. Even then I was on tip toes to reach my clothes. The toilet is shadow flushing which was very annoying to hear all night long.

Overall my stay was fair. I’ve stayed in other properties where my stay was exceptional, so a little downer for me. I didn’t appreciate that after unpacking, my clothes were subjected to a very tiny linen closet as all of the closets were used by the owner as storage. I didn’t like the fact that no toiletries whatsoever were provided, but not a deal breaker. There was also a huge water bug that welcomed me upon my arrival in the kitchen that terrified me. They are hardly nooooo TV channels, very limited on the main floor. I didn’t like that the media/ game room was upstairs. On the website pictures, it appears, it’s downstairs. So, if you have kids, the noise will interrupt you on the main floor. I must say, the worst thing was the mattress on the bed. I got NO sleep at all, which prohibited me from doing much. The mattress, I believe was very inexpensive. You could sink to the floor (embellished) but you get my point, no support very soft, which lead to my back aching. The pillows also very inexpensive. You needed several to make one support pillow. I sincerely was super tempted to just leave to get a good night sleep elsewhere nearby. The uncomfortable bed made my stay very painful. Thanks

Christina, the homeowner would like to share the following message: "Thank you for the feedback, Christina. We’re sorry your stay didn't meet your expectations as the feedback from our prior guests has been excellent, which is what we strive for. There is ample closet space in the four bedrooms that are available to guests, including a walk-in closet upstairs. There is only one closet in the house that is reserved for owner storage. Additionally, we share with all guests a welcome letter, at least a week in advance of arrival, that informs our guests that toiletries are not provided due to individual or personal needs/allergies. There is a CVS about 3 minutes away, should a guest need to obtain personal items. We have not had previous issues with bugs in the house as it's under complete pest control. We subscribe to a widely used TV/Internet provider in the Lake Oconee area and there are over 120 channels available, as well as access to Netflix, Hulu and Amazon, and free wi-fi throughout the house. The property has a very common floor layout and has been extremely welcoming for prior guests and families, with no complaints about noise. People have personal preferences on mattress softness and firmness. The mattress in the master bedroom meets regular accommodation standards and was purchased brand new at a local and highly reputable furniture store along with the entire rest of the household furnishings. The pillows were replaced 2 weeks prior to your stay with hotel-grade pillows. We do hope you enjoy your stay at other vacation rentals in the future." Best, the Evolve Team
