Host was super responsive to messages and keeping us in the loop on everything. My friends loved staying here, there were some slight issues but were dealt with. Had a lot of fun!
This property was well represented in the VRBO listing. The finishes are high end and of good quality. The neighborhood is very quiet but close to everything we wanted to do. Our only complaint was the confusion with the initial booking which was handled professionally thus not impacting our rating.
I brought my team to NYC for a business retreat, and this Harlem brownstone was the perfect setting. Impeccably renovated, it beautifully preserves its Victorian details. The house is ideal for large groups, with spacious, well-appointed rooms and a chef kitchen. While there is only one TV on the main floor, the upper rooms offer a tranquil, screen-free retreat. The bathrooms are elegantly designed with black-and-white penny tile, and the water pressure was excellent. The building management was highly responsive and answered all our questions promptly.Given the size of the house, the heat regulation appeared to be controlled externally, but overall, our stay was comfortable. If you're looking for a stunning, historic property in Harlem, this is the place. Enjoy—we certainly did!

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Overall, we had an excellent stay :-) Our group of 8 had plenty of space, and the house was beautifully decorated with bedrooms and bathrooms that perfectly met our needs. The location was also fantastic, sitting within easy walking distance of several subway stations. While we loved the property, a few areas need attention to improve the experience for future guests. A "Welcome Pack" with instructions for the air conditioning and appliances would be incredibly helpful. We also ran into a few maintenance and cleanliness issues: we had to clear out the previous guests' food from the fridge, the BBQ needed a clean, and the ensuite sink remained blocked throughout our stay. Additionally, we spent our first night without hot water, which we luckily managed to fix ourselves only because someone in our party is a plumber. On the appliance front, the TV plug couldn't reach any outlets so was never used, and the bottom dishwasher rack kept sliding off its runners, jamming the machine. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the garden as it looked a bit unloved, covered in leaves with decking that felt unstable.Despite these hiccups, the house itself is great, and we wouldn't hesitate to book this property again.
