Only a 5 minute walk to Blue Stairs South Beach and Kids Corner playground. Only 1 mile from downtown shops and restaurants. Large backyard with fire pit, Weber Genesis gas grill, and patio furniture seating for the entire group.

We have built Sunset Haven specifically for family gatherings of our family and yours. With nearby activities for everyone and located on a quiet side street, it is the perfect place for making memories.

SO MUCH LIVABLE SPACE
Sunset Haven sleeps 12 (all beds-no pullouts) comfortably with several gathering spaces large and small. 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, remodeled and furnished the entire home, a huge open eating area, and so much more!

A King size bed in the master bedroom with an on-suite full bathroom, which includes a custom tile shower. 1 Queen size bed in one hall bedroom and another 2 bedrooms with 2 full size beds in the other 2 bedrooms. Full bathroom on the main level with tub/shower unit and double sinks. Basement full bathroom shower and double sinks. There are 2 eating areas, 2 family rooms, and a large open gathering space.

The property is fully furnished and includes central air conditioning, washer and dryer, fully furnished kitchen, dishwasher, 2 Keurig coffee makers with coffee and creamer provided, microwave, 2 smart TVs, WIFI, DVD player, blow dryers in all bathrooms, patio set table & 12 chairs, 4 beach chairs, gas grill, fire pit, bathroom towels. The kitchen is fully stocked with many spices sm/med/large pots/pans as well as table service for 16 people, silverware, cookware, and utensils.

You will enjoy the refreshing Lake House charm in the decorations. There are many local amenities and attractions to keep you busy. You can enjoy a day at the beach, rent a jet ski or kayak on the nearby Black River, take a bike ride on one of the 2 nearby trails, go fishing, or take a walk to downtown shops and the pier.​

There are also local wineries, golf courses, and places to pick fresh fruit. But one of the most memorable moments is watching the sunset over the water near the lighthouse. It's very peaceful and refreshing, your own haven.

Great visit to South Haven

Nice place, close the the beach, and about a mile walk to downtown. Was with four adults and two infants and had plenty of space. Property was clean and in good condition. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Stay

Newly remodeled house! We've stayed in prior to remodel and loved it, but now this house is on another level. The fully finished basement is a game changer and adds so much more room. Also, this property has some of the best beds we've experienced in South Haven.

Great House and Location!

The house is a wonderful space for a multi family vacation! (3 adults, 4 kids 8 and under). Plenty of room for kids to play and explore. We love the remodel and all of the new extras! Kids loved the foosball table and arcade games. The location is perfect and everything went very smoothly. Communication with the owner was great. I hope we'll be back for another South Haven get away here next summer!

Great Property

Great location, close to park, South Beach and downtown. Nice quiet block, perfect for a toddler at night time. Home was a lot nicer, cleaner and updated compared to some of those old, creaky cottages by the beach. Manager was great at communicating as well. Per other reviews, beds are a bit creaky but I feel like that’s the case for a lot of the South Haven properties.

Great for Family with Little Kids

Beach and playground is just a wagon pull away with little kids. Good size backyard and the kids each got heir own bed! The Hot water tent had to be reset almost daily, but we just had to push a button to fix that. Kitchen had essentials for make meals, house was clean, and in a great location. We had a great week there, even with the red flag days at the beach. would recommend you bring dish towel for drying hands, and a extra shower towel if you like to use more than 1 per person.

Great House

We were lucky as we booked this house before the massive renovation. The house is very nice. The kitchen is well stocked. The master bedroom shower was amazing. We stayed with our 2 and 4 year old children. It is a very easy walk to a great playground and the blue stairs beach. Also, only a short drive into town and to the dunes at Van Buren State Park. Our kids loved the giant basement and playing hide and seek there. The only very minor gripe we had was the lack of throw blankets. We had some bad weather the first 2 days and a nice throw blanket would have been great for watching TV on the couch.

Family Reunion (Hakuna Matada)

Exceeded expectations! Number 1 with us a rental has to be CLEAN! 3 bathrooms wonderful! Spacious! Fantastic location for us. Reunion site a mile away. Husband born & raised in SH a few blocks from blue stairs. Our daughter & son in law & almost 3 yr old granddaughter & 7 year old grandson & daughter & fiancé enjoyed as well. We all live in Naples, FL & felt blessed to be back in the mitten to enjoy the gorgeous weather! So many fond memories! Beach, boating, bakery, Sherman’s ice cream, St Basil’s Catholic Church, kids corner, picking blueberries, sunsets @ blue stairs. Thank you!

Family friendly

Our family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers stayed for 3 nights. We had plenty of room to accommodate all of us. The house was very clean and ideal for toddlers (there wasn't clutter or too much for them to get into). The owner was very responsive/quick to answer questions throughout the booking process. The house is located on a quiet street and an easy walk to the beach and town. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to prepare a meal. We used the backyard fire pit to make s'mores and even played a game of corn hole! We really loved going to the beach daily- keep in mind, if you're using a stroller, there are a lot of steps for the closest beach access from the house. Otherwise, you can walk/drive a little further for easier access. My only suggestion would be new mattresses or toppers for the beds. But, we loved the house and South Haven and would recommend it to anyone!!

Beautiful beach bungalow close to the beach but quite and out of traffic. So much space for hosting and room to spread out. Comfortable beds. Cute decor. Nice park for kids nearby.

The photos of the home don’t do it justice. It’s plain on the outside but the interior is amazing. Check in was simple. The code was sent to me and was easy to operate. The house is beautifully decorated and there is attention to detail thru out. The kitchen is laid out well and stocked with anything imaginable. The dishwasher is so quit you won’t hear it. All the drawers are pull out and organized. All the appliances worked well including the gas grill outside. There is plenty of seating and all the furniture was clean, comfortable and well maintained. I think the owner’s thought of everything. The backyard is big and the grandkids had a blast playing in it. My only advice is if you like to snuggle under a blanket while watching t.v. bring your own throws. And for those wondering we were a family of 6 adults and 4 kids all under the age of 5!

We had a great time. House was very clean and spacious. Loved how they had beach chairs and toys available, plus bags to play in the garage. 5 minute walk to beach and kids corner playground about a 3 minute walk. Host was very responsive to questions and helpful. Recommend for sure.

Great for Extended Families

Sunset Haven was the perfect property for our extended family trip! Lots of space for everyone to comfortably be together. It wa fresh and clean and we experienced quick and clear communication from our host. It was also nice and close to the lake while also tucked away on a calm and quiet street. A Perfect Getaway

This was one of the most amazing places that we have ever rented! Completely updated, super clean, very spacious, and stocked with everything that you'll need for a perfect vacation. The location is wonderful-a short walk to the beach and downtown, and located in a very nice neighborhood. The host was quick to respond to questions. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic

We loved this house! Close to town, close to the beach, clean, large enough for the 3+ families (6 adults and 4 kids mostly, another adult for a few days and yet another adult with 2 kids over for dinner a few days in a row). This is the 4th house in South Haven we have rented so far, and is our favorite. We would 100% stay here again!

Why they chose this property

Our family has been coming to South Haven for over 10 years. Every time we come we enjoy the downtown area, beach, Kids corner, farmers market, wine tasting, golfing, and picking blueberries. It's a nice way to get away from it all without going far from home. We also love walking to the lighthouse and we love watching the sunsets. There is so much to do in this beautiful town. We were also attracted by the cute downtown area with fudge shops, candy shops, and ice cream shops. We just truly love the atmosphere and we have never met nicer people to be around.

What makes this property unique

This house is located on a private street with a large .25 acre backyard. The best part is the 5 minute walk to the beach and only being a mile from downtown. We have owned the house for over 8 years and decided to make some big changes. We recently renovated Sunset Haven specifically for family gatherings of our family and yours. With the finished basement, it is now 2800 sq ft of space, with 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and sleeps 12. There are 2 eating areas, 2 family rooms, and a large open gathering space. Outdoor dining area on concrete patio with enough seating for everyone. The finished basement includes a bedroom, full bathroom, finished laundry area, Arcade and Foosball table. Located inside the garage, there is an EV Charging Station (level 2 chargepoint). With nearby activities for everyone and located on a quiet side street, it is the perfect place for making memories.
