>SPRING SPECIAL<
$125.00 per night, any night!
"Spring has Sprung" and thanks to a few March storms, the Skiing is still BOOMING!!!

We're SORRY, but we do have a 3 ADULT/2 CHILD, 5 PERSON MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY , along with a 23 yr old Minimum age for the primary booking person.
Lil' Green Bear Cabin is better served hosting couples or small one or two child families. We are a smaller 950sf, 2 bedrooms/1Bathroom, NO SMOKING/NO PET Cabin perfect for that ROMANTIC GETAWAY
With the 2-child max, kids would need to sleep in beds or sleeping bags (not provided). No Sofa Sleeper. The cabin has multiple "Smart TVs" for your personal streaming accounts, however, there is no "cable", so local news and/or channels would need to come from your personal accounts/streaming platforms. Please note that the mountains and WiFi don't always work well together, the owners can not guarantee that the Wifi (and TV streaming services) will always work, but the vast majority of the time the national Spectrum service is fine!!
If your coming to Big Bear, come stay in Rustic, organic, natural Mountain Log cabin living, not simple suburban architecture, YOU CAN GET THAT DOWN THE HILL! Lil' Green Bear Cabin has often been described as something right out of a fairy tale or childhood fable! A mountain log cabin that delivers exactly what it shows. Come experience Big Bear the way it's supposed to be experienced, a classic log cabin, mountain decor, seclusion, away from the crowds. Lil Green Bear Cabin awaits and NEVER disappoints!
LIL' GREEN BEAR CABIN, a 950sf Sierra Style Log Cabin sits quietly nestled just 3 short blocks from the San Bernardino National Forest and some amazing hiking trails, 2 miles from the lake, 3 miles from shopping, 4 miles from the renowned ski slopes (Bear Mountain & Summit), and 6 miles from the village! Away from the tourist buses of Big Bear Lake. Big Bear City gives you a chance to truly get away and live like the mountain locals for the weekend. A refreshing walk around the block is an experience in itself, one that you won't forget!
Floor-to-ceiling knotty pine with 12-inch exposed strewn logs running through the living room ceiling, a classic Maltby fireplace, and 2 nicely sized bedrooms with King & Queen beds sitting on rustic, log bed frames. Hardwood floors with carpeted bedrooms. A nice sized country bathroom, but please note there is no bathtub. For the folks who have a little trouble relaxing and need to stay close to the office, the cabin is equipped with a 30mbtys, broadband, and wireless WIFI router, so the laptop/tablet can stay handy! The mountain theme decor has been praised by countless reviews (visitors). Minimum stocked CHEFS KITCHEN complete with most everything you need to whip up a meal and something rarely found in smaller cabins up here: A REAL KITCHEN TABLE, rustic, reclaimed barn wood with 4 Brand New "Hercules" Black Walnut Dining chairs. On so many occasions this is not the case, you are forced to sit on bar stools or TV trays while sitting in the living room!! 55-inch Smart television. Another 42-inch Smart LCD TV mounted in the master bedroom for the romantic couple who wants to stay in bed all day while the wind blows and/or snow falls. The intimate cabin has a wall heater, no central heat and as most cabin's in Big Bear, NO AC, as there is rarely a need for it.
Enjoy a glass of wine while snuggling in front of the large, Maltby-style fireplace on a chilly night while the avocado wood crackles (firewood not provided).
The rustic, natural grounds are again well noted throughout the reviews, so many massive pine & evergreen trees on the property, and 2 of the most perfect 50-foot Holiday trees ever sit in the front yard! Really special! The front yard boasts natural landscaping with the back yard offering a cute little park-like setting, completely fenced in for peace of mind with the little kids (2 child max) with some very cute decorative pieces that again are fantastic for children. With two great porches/decks, the front porch gives you that classic experience of sitting out on 2 great redwood Adirondack chairs and simply enjoying the peace and quiet, while stargazing into the renowned star-lit Big Bear sky. The back deck comes with a large circular table, chairs and an old school charcoal grill (briquettes & lighter fluid not provided) You can go out for dinner anytime, but starting up the grill on a chilly night in a mountain log cabin with a bottle of Red wine while the steaks marinade........now that's a city get-a-way and a priceless memory you won't forget.
The property is motion sensor lit (front and back yard/driveway) for late-night arrivals and please be advised there is ONE EXTERIOR CAMERA mounted on the front of the property LOOKING OUT to the street allowing the owners to see the front driveway, porch and yard. It is professionally managed from bedding to towels. We have raised our 15-year-old son here, so again we pride ourselves on the cabin being kid-friendly whether it be the lil back yard 'play park', the horseshoe pit, or the front yard play area, we have tried to think of everything to assure you that upon the completion of your stay, you will leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. One of the best compliments we have ever received was in a review one of your guests posted way back in the spring of 2012 (see review section) simply stating that 'This is not like staying in a rental cabin at all, but more like staying at a friend's home!'

We proudly offer you....... LIL GREEN BEAR CABIN!

Sincerely,
The Green Family of Lil Green Bear Cabin.

Short Ski Trip
Great location, perfect for our family of four. Pros: Plenty of room, we loved the bear theme including the "bear towel" on the beds - very cute! Cons: Could do with additional amenities like foil in the kitchen, a bit of a pain that we had to dispose our own trash, however, the depot was easy to locate. We would definitely recommend to other families, overall it was a lovely stay.

I would stay here again.
I enjoyed the full-size fireplace. I've stayed in condos in Mammoth that have a tiny fireplace that work nicely but make tending the fire more difficult. The communication I had with the owner was very good.

Such a vibe & great host
The cabin is so cute the photos don’t even do it justice. It’s the perfect classic cabin vibe you’d love in Big Bear. There was a mix up in the beginning of our stay but the host took care of everything swiftly and was very good at communicating everything with us to get it settled. I had my toddler with me and he loved how cool the backyard/porch area was for playing! It’s close to the main shops and lots of eating spots but away enough where you can really enjoy the woodsy atmosphere. Overall I’d definitely recommend this place to friends and family in the future, it’s so worth it!

'The Green's' of Lil' Green Bear Cabin! Randelle, Gabriela and Dakota. Gabby and I met in Los Angeles in November of 2005 and were married on Maui (Hana) on October 10th, 2010 (10/10/10). We have a 15 year old son named Dakota who absolutely loves the cabin. Gabriela is a flight attendant for Delta Airlines. I am a Real Estate Broker running 2 Brokerages, one in the LA area as well as Big Bear.. We love spending time together, traveling, Hawaii, Solvang (wine country) and escaping to the mountains every chance we get. We love our lil piece of the mountain and know you will too! May God Bless You! Randelle & Gabriela Green

Why they chose this property

It has been a dream of my wife and I to own a log cabin up in the mountains of Southern California, so in 2010 we purchased Lil Green Bear cabin. We enjoyed it ourselves for the first couple years and in 2012 we decided to put the cabin into the vacation rental market. We have made sure the cabin has all the conveniences of home. It has been our goal almost 8 years to continue to build a reputable business out of sharing our lil piece of the mountain with others. We are well aware that rental homes are built on referrals and we hope each and every guest is more than satisfied and will keep coming back for more. Enjoy your stay at Lil Green Bear Cabin!!

What makes this property unique

What really sets Lil Green Bear Cabin apart is the front and back yard space! The property sits back to allow an actual front yard for the kids to play, which is also fenced (log) to create boundaries. Great for kids to run around the front yard where one can watch them from the redwood adarondak chairs on the porch. The same goes for the backyard, a totally enclosed back yard 'play park'. People forget to think about the grounds of the property, who wants to stay inside all day, you come up the mountain for the fresh air and to feel the altitude. Parking is excellent at the cabin, something not always the case. A traditional black asphalt drive way allows you to park conveniently as opposed to some gravel pull up area! Motion sensor lights in the front and back make it safe, and simple for late night check ins. Try finding your way to a new address and foreign place in the pitch black! Dining room, again so many 2 bedroom cabins don't have one, just some bar stools or even worse TV trays for your dinner. LGB has a traditional custom made dining table which comfortably sits 4, it is made from reclaimed pine. The bedrooms are surprisingly large with actual sitting areas, classic mountain log bed frames. The inside was completely remodeled in 2010 with a wide open floorplan, chefs kitchen, and 12 inch (width) exposed logs running through the living room ceiling. A wonderful maltby fireplace. The unique benefits to this 1,000sf 2 bedroom cabin are endless. We simply encourage you to compare the photo's, inside and out, read ALL reviews, VRBO is a legitimate service. And the pictures tell it all.
