The host was great with communications. The cottage is adorable and the outside area with the fire pit was just perfect. There was a boil alert because of the flooding, but the host provided bottled water.
Spent my birthday there and enjoyed every minute. Ebiked around Mt Dora exploring the beautiful homes. Ended the weekend with a day at the Fleamarket! Ill definitely stay again!!
Tastefully decorated and well equipped rental. Convenient walk to downtown

We rented Oaktree cottage to have a spot close to family. The cottage inside is cute and well equipped for a week's stay. The coffee nook area was well set up. The bathroom is tight, but the shower is good sized. It was nice to have the washer and dryer for a mid- month-long trip refresh. The cottage was cleaned okay, but definitely not to my standard. I did a little cleaning and it didn't take much to get spots off the walls and doors. I was extremely disappointed in the outside of the cottage. Based on the VRBO pictures, we were planning on having family over to enjoy some time in the backyard. It is obvious that very little time and attention has been spent on the front and back yards. We decided not to have family over.Even looking past the impact of the February freeze and wind, it's obvious that the outside needs some real love. The cornhole bowl boards are not painted, so if the bean bags will not slide. All of the chair cushions around the round table are torn along the bottom seams. The American flag hanging outside the front door showed signs of weathering and mold and has numerous tears in it. Weeds are growing up through the gravel. The yard is an example of my biggest pet peeve with all short-term rentals. The website pictures rarely show the current property condition. It's obvious that the pictures of Oaktree were done when the paint and landscaping was brand new. Many things have changed since those pictures.
We love Mount Dora and have stayed numerous times. We found this quaint little gem and enjoyed a perfect weekend. Everything was as stated in the ad and better. Clean, full of character and very convenient to all that Mount Dora has to offer. We will be back!
Very peaceful. Looking for a weekend getaway with your spouse this is the property to stay at. Great Location, close to good food, drinks and shopping. Cottage is cozy.
