Relax with the whole family at this peaceful and fully equipped cabin nestled in the woods of the Adirondacks. Featuring lake access and a large fire pit to spend your evenings. Built in 2021 this custom cabin provides one bedroom, one bathroom and a cozy loft that sleeps three. This cabin will provide you with peace and quiet both inside and out! Enjoy the lounging in the hammocks or at the fire pit, swimming in the lake, or walking the property and surrounding area. A short 30 minutes drive will bring you to Utica, NY where you can explore a wide range of delicious restaurants, the arts and entertainment that this small city has to offer. Thirty minutes north and you will find unlimited hiking options and all that Old Forge, NY has to offer! Stay and relax at the cabin or explore what this beautiful region of New York has to offer.

We had a great time here. I will say that the access to the water is sketchy for anyone who isn’t ready for some actual hiking- not just a walk. I was fine with my 9yo son but smaller kids or older adults would not be able to get there. Beautiful property though. Super friendly host.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Property is clean and well maintained. We spent a lot of time at the fire pit. The peace and solitude is refreshing. Goes without saying but bring bug repellent. Would stay again!

A lovely cabin in an idyllic setting. The lake is not easily or safely accessible (and is not visible from the cabin, at least in summer), but the cabin and grounds are lovely, and the cabin contains everything you need for a peaceful stay.

Thank you for your stay. Sadly, the stairs were damaged in a bad storm last summer and it has been quite a challenge to replace them to gain safe water access. I am glad to hear you enjoyed the peace and quiet of the woods and the cabin.

Such a peaceful, private place! We stayed here for a family wedding at The Kuyahoora Lodge & Resort, which was only about a 12-minute drive away, and Rocky’s on the Lake was also nearby.The cabin is newer, very cozy, and exceptionally clean. The beds were comfortable, although the pullout couch was not very desirable, so I would recommend bringing an air mattress if you need the extra sleeping space. The stairs to the loft sleeping areas are quite steep and were impossible for my elderly father, so he used the main-floor master bedroom. With five adults, the rustic bathroom also made getting ready for a wedding a little challenging.The host’s directions were extremely helpful because the cabin is tucked away and difficult to find. The access road/path is rough, so an SUV or truck is a good idea. We were glad we left the sports car home.The cabin is not directly on the water and there is no water view. There is a rustic trail down toward the water, but it is fairly rough.Bring everything you need for food and cooking. There were no staple items at all in the kitchen, and the cabin water is not drinkable, so bring plenty of drinking water as well.Overall, it is what it is — a rustic, quiet, cozy getaway. If you come prepared, it is an incredibly peaceful place to stay.

Peaceful Retreat

The cabin was neat, clean and cozy. Loved the setting, fire pit and spacious accommodations. Close to a beach for swimming. All the comforts of home. Lovely getaway. The boys enjoyed the yard and the campfire! Definitely a great place!

Beautiful cabin in a rural NY setting. Lindsay was an excellent host, with a rapid turn around response for my inquiries. Due to car trouble we needed to stay an extra night, which was available! The cabin was clean, the fire pit was wonderful, there was lots of birds and I also saw 2 toads. Would absolutely stay here again.

The stay was just what the doctor ordered. It was quiet and peaceful (No Blowers, for those of you who have to tolerate them where you live) and the cabin is perfect. Our lab loved the water. We couldn't get her out. We will stay again, hopefully in the near future. Thank you Lindsey.

Ancestry Adventures

My sisters and daughters and I spent the weekend exploring cemeteries and researching our family tree, which is loaded with ancestors in and around Remsen. This beautiful little cabin is perfectly located for our endeavors and worked out really well for us. We will definitely be back!!

Perfect hideaway Cabin

This cabin was perfect for my husband and I, just looking to stay in the area to visit family. Nestled in the woods, quiet & peaceful. Beautiful knotted pine, and had everything we needed. Super clean, & neat . Lindsey was communicative and responded quickly to any questions we had.

Very quiet and relaxing

It was a bit hard to find the driveway initially. The driveway was pretty tight and we couldn't bring the boat all the way to the cabin, but we made due and left it off to the side of the driveway. The cabin is a nice, quiet retreat for those looking to get away. We enjoyed the firepit and the walk down the trail.

Wonderful Hideaway

We enjoy our stay at this property. It’s a great place to get away from it all and enjoy birds, singing, and visits from wildlife. The cabin is very charming, clean and functional. The large deck and fire pit area provide multiple places to relax outdoors. There are two things to mention. The nearest grocery store is 30+ minutes away so stock up on food, water and gas beforehand. Also the path to the lake requires navigating a steep slope and ladder. Take a short drive to the park if you want to go for a swim.

Een superfijn huisje dat van (bijna) alle gemakken is voorzien. Heerlijk buiten zitten onder de veranda of bij het kampvuur. Goede bedden en voldoende ruimte. De wifi is perfect!
