About this property
A Campo de’ Fiori, sulle tracce dei Borgia
This apartment is located in a building that is a symbol of Rome’s Renaissance history, the same one where, with an entrance from Vicolo del Gallo (right at the corner), Vannozza Cattanei once lived. She was the mistress of Pope Alexander VI and the mother of Cesare and Lucrezia Borgia. The family coat of arms is still visible on the entrance door of her historic Locanda del Gallo.
The accommodation is situated on the first floor of a building originally constructed in the Middle Ages, and therefore, it does not have an elevator.
The apartment is spread over two levels. On the upper floor, there are two interconnected double bedrooms: to access the second bedroom, one must pass through the first. For this reason, the accommodation is particularly suitable for families or close friends traveling together. On the same floor, there is a full bathroom with a bathtub.
On the lower floor, there is a cozy and elegant living room with an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, and oven), perfect for showcasing your culinary skills. The living area also features a dining table, comfortable seating, and a sofa that converts into a bed, suitable for one person or a child. On this same level, you will also find a second bathroom with a shower and a convenient storage room with a washer/dryer.
Thoughtfully furnished to reflect the owners' passion for art, Cappellari 4 has been tastefully renovated to comfortably accommodate 2 to 5 people. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a cultural family vacation, the apartment boasts a strategic location within walking distance of many attractions, including the site of Julius Caesar’s assassination (Largo di Torre Argentina), the Jewish Ghetto, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and much more.
Wi-Fi is provided free of charge for all guests. Please note that air conditioning units are available only in the bedrooms. The apartment also features independent heating for the winter months.

Very centrally located to all you want to explore in Rome! The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. The apartment is located next to a very busy shopping/eating area so just know that the street noise is very loud from 8 until after midnight!
We had a great week in this wonderful apartment.Right on the corner of Campo de Fiori. We woke up to the market every morning and had dinner in one of the surrounding restaurants every evening. We were able to walk to all of the major sights from this location. We just loved the art and the layout.
Great great space is exceptionally well curated and expansive. Perfectly located in the centre of Rome. Would highly recommend.

The location of this place was exceptional. The water was really cold in the shower downstairs. The place has everything that was needed for cooking, bed was comfortable and the two bathrooms were great! It was hotter downstairs than upstairs yet there were fans available to cool down. Would stay here again.

In 5 days we never had a warm bath or shower & notice I did not say “hot” & it was December.
As advertised nice property. The first floor water pressure (shower) was very weak. Be prepared to climb some stairs. The location was excellent, right outside of our door was a busy area with an open air market, several bars, restaurants, and shops. The proximity to historic sites was very good too. Overall, 9 out of 10!
Convenient location. Very spacious but the downstairs gets hot because there is no AC downstairs. We also ran out of toilet paper and could have used some more towels.
Host was great. Welcomed us at the apartment. Gave us recommendations.
The place had everything we needed. Even the coffee in the machine was great.
We were close from everything thing. Spot was perfect.
The apartment is in the middle of everywhere you may want to walk to, in Rome. And the listing was very good. There were a couple of maintenance needs that I communicated with the management and they thanked me. There were no maintenance needs that risked our pleasure of staying there. All were minor but just needing to be done at some point in time. The only things that may be needed to understand, and one is in the listing, are the various levels one must navigate. As an older couple, we had to use extra caution when getting up in the middle of the night. The other notable, and trust me on a holiday like St Patrick’s Day, was the bar just below. Can I only say WOW!! The noise from unruly partying participants that went on until 02:00 in the morning was extremely loud, even for my hard of hearing ears…. But overall, the apartment is wonderfully decorated and central to all things you may wish to walk to. And management does respond very quickly if asked. The few maintenance issues I found I did ask they be addressed “after” our departure. They did not hinder our comfort in any way. It was overall a very pleasant and enjoyable stay.
It is a GREAT! place, but both AC units are on the upper floor and lower floor remained uncomfortably hot. Also, be prepared for 30 steps to reach the apartment. Otherwise, it is a very impressive space, well furnished, spotlessly clean with good management. Location couldn't be better, right next to Campo di Fiori. Rent if you don't mind stairs, but not during hot periods.
This apartment is clean, spacious, and could not be at a better location. We walked to everything. You get out and you have a butcher, a bakery and a market with fresh fruits and vegetables right in front of you. However, because the apartment is so close to the piazza, it is indeed quite noisy late at night. If you are a light sleeper, this might not be a good spot for you. Also, if you are planning to cook, the pots and pans are in very bad shape and need a major upgrade.
