The Neighborhood:
Lake Lucerne is a historic resort from the early 20th Century, which orignally included a golf course and an airstrip (now long gone). In the early days, the resort was a social center serving the vacationing elite. Over the years, much of the resort was divided up and sold. Today, Lake Lucerne is a historic snap-shot in time. There is no access for fishing, swimming, or boating at Lake Lucerne. The "lake" is a spring fed stream with a hand laid limestone dam. Some travelers have had expectations of a large reservoir and have commented that, in their opinion, it is more of a "pond". (We assume that the founders didn't like the sound of "Pond Lucerne", therefore, it has always been referred to as a Lake.) Over the years moss, and other aquatic plants, have grown in the shallow end of the "lake", although, the deeper end near the dam has clear, open water. Please note that this is not a commercially groomed reservoir. Lake Lucerne is a natural Ozark stream with fish, plants, and moss. It is naturally beautiful, but it is not maintained like a "water feature" in a botanical garden. You will be staying on the South shore of the lake. Each of these 10 Cabins were a part of the original Lake Lucerne Resort.
Getting Around:
Be prepared for a narrow 1 lane road, although, it is easily navigable. We are in the Ozarks and the cabins are perched on a hill with sufficient room for a gravel road and a small driveway which will easily accommodate modern vehicles. There is sufficient space to safely drive to your cabin. The road includes a "turnaround" at the end, providing room for a 3 point turn. (We have NO space for trailers)

Beautiful cabin! We were there for the week of Christmas and it was exactly what we needed. We loved the kitchen and fireplace, used them both just about everyday! It was the perfect place for our holiday vacation! We will be back for sure!

Thank you, Ray! We're thrilled to hear that our cabin was the perfect spot for your holiday getaway. It’s wonderful that you enjoyed the kitchen and fireplace. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another stay!
LOVE THIS CABIN! Beautiful decor, very comfortable beds and chairs/couch. The view is unmatched. All the kitchen items you need, very nice bathroom and shower. Nice linens, porch was the best. So quiet and peaceful. Close to town. The gravel driveway is rough but we managed. 4 wheel drive or a heavy vehicle would be best due to a gravel incline. Will come again!

Thank you, Phlip! We're thrilled to hear you loved your stay in our waterfront cabin for the second time. Your continued support means so much to us. We can't wait to welcome you back for another wonderful visit!
We were looking for a nice, quiet place to stay for a few days over fall break. This was just what we needed. The cabin, though next to other cabins, was very quiet. The view of the lake was great. Although we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, Eureka Springs was very close by. This made getting around really easy.

Was amazing and really close to town love the access to it although it’s not made for larger vehicles it was still impeccable and would stay there again. Amazing and cozy.
We stayed 3 nights (my husband, son, & I). It was peaceful and clean and we were able to cook several meals there and save $$. It was close to everything.
Driveway was a nightmare . Couldn't drive up it the outside needs some attention especially the deck could use some stain . Instead was very clean and charming ... Great view with the wrap around picture windows

The historic cabins do have narrow driveways. We will take your comments into consideration and see what we can do. Thank you and safe travels!
We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for something quaint.
The inside of the property is better than advertised without any question as it appears the pictures are a bit dated. The owners have changed some of the furniture out to more newer, more contemporary styles.
The caveat and shortcoming to the place is the parking, but that is really not an issue for most we suspect. It’s very clean. It’s very modern, and it’s extremely quiet.
We will certainly be back, and cannot say enough nice things about the property, the price and overall experience.

Thank you! We will double check our photos, thank you for bringing that to our attention!
Upon arrival there was tore up trash bags from the crows and algae covered the lake. It took three attempts to get in the parking spot and my wife was ready to go somewhere else. Then we went inside. We were in cabin number three and it looked better than the pictures. A lot of time and thought went into these cabins and we were more than satisfied. The next morning the trash was picked up and there were deer under our deck. I bet it is realy pretty in the fall and cooler months.
