Weekend in Vermont

Relaxing home for a family weekend in Vermont. Spacious and comfortable for five adults . Two full bathrooms and comfortable quiet bedrooms. The view is absolutely beautiful and we would stay here again!

One star for the view and the host allowing early check in. Other than that this was a highly disappointing experience. After having stayed in 8 rentals through the competitors site, all hosts provide pleasant clean accommodations and most go above and beyond to not only provide basics but make the guests feel welcome. This property was highly rundown and lacking in basic cleanliness and amenities. From dirty empty soap dispensers, not enough paper goods, trays and a toaster oven that you didn't even want to touch, broken knives, torn bedsheets, no coffee, the list goes on. There was no outdoor seating on the deck, you had to lug chairs back and forth from inside which is not easy for older people. I now realize the host doesn't have any photos of the inside of the property on the site which should have been a huge red flag. An abundance of one liner 10 star reviews is also suspect in my opinion. The host said it was our job to provide things ourselves if staying more than 2 days (I paid for a week and I know what even basic hotels provide). The state of this property shows this host does not care so I don't know why Vrbo allows it to be listed -inside photos should be required. Would not recommend to anyone.

Secluded retreat

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! My husband and I and our small pup enjoyed the retreat from daily obligations, and spent the week enjoying the stunning view and the fresh air and just relaxing together. We hope to come back next year! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

A beautiful home with a view

This was our second time in this house, and we hope to make it a regular thanksgiving tradition. The house is substantial, spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The owners were easily reached when we had questions.

Great mountain getaway

Very nice home in the mountains of Eastern Vermont with incredible views. The deck was a perfect location to watch the Orionid meteor showers, as there is virtually no light pollution from any neighboring homes. This was our second time staying here, and we look forward to another visit in the future. Thanks Becky and Robert!

Foliage extravaganza

We were in town for a wedding that lucky for us coincided with peak fall foliage. It is a beautiful property situated on an elevation that provides sweeping views of hills and valley dripping in fall colors by day and a hunter's moon by night. We hiked at a nearby state park and just took in the scenery at the house. The owner promptly returned a call when we had a question and resolved the issue for us. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Another wonderful Thanksgiving

This house is walking distance to where we always have Thanksgiving dinner, and if feels like home now. The games were a treat for my 7 year-old grandson, kept him out of the preoccupation with screens. I love the trees and the view. The kitchen has everything I needed.After two years in an apartment, I really appreciate the real fireplace. I miss the pictures on the walls which have been there in previous years, but that is minor, compared to the pleasure I feel staying here. I am so grateful.

Our family had a wonderful time staying at this house. It's super clean, not too far from Okemo (30 min) and about an hour drive to Mt snow. Basement had a mini pool and a Foosball table that kids enjoyed. Beds were super comfortable and kitchen was well stocked.

Sunsets and Star Gazing

Our group agreed that we could not have picked a more beautiful location for our Vermont leaf peeping. The drive up to the house revealed a spectacular view and attractive home. As others have noted (and since everyone in our group was over 65) we will also note that there were missing pavers in the steps up to the house. After long days exploring Vermont's back roads we looked forward to getting back to the house and gathering on the deck for sunset, a glass of wine, and later, star gazing. So relaxing and beautiful.

Beautiful property with a beautiful view

The pictures don't do the views justice. And there is more field and forest to explore and play yards games than it looks as well. Fabulous location on a secluded lot just a short ride out if town.

Beautiful View

The views are simply spectacular! Lovely property and location. We were in town for a family reunion and this rental was 100 times better and less expensive than the suggested hotel.
