About the host
Hosted by Julie Meer

We are third generation Starfield family The Starfield owner/managers. We have owned and operated Terra Alta Cottages since the 1950's. While I grew up in Brooklyn, I spent summers at Terra Alta every year of my childhood. After I aged out of camp, I became a counselor and then a lifeguard. I am now in charge of property and cottage maintenance; my husband is the Treasurer and technology officer; my brother is the President of the Corporation and sister-in-law does direct to market rentals and is in charge of housekeeping and turnovers. My first cousin runs the community activity calendar. One could say that from the time I was a child, watching my mom do the job, I wanted to do the job as well. Mac, the property supervisor in the 1970's, had a red pick up truck, smoked a pipe and let me ride next to him in the cab. My brother, four years older, was allowed to stand on the back fender when we were riding on the grounds. Terra Alta is in my soul and I'll do anything I can to make our guests feel welcome.
