Wonderful rustic getaway with awesome pool and farm setting!
We stayed here with our 2 year old and our dog. It was a perfect 3 night getaway! The Bunk House is cozy and has everything you need and it's the perfect rustic setting. We walked to see the chickens, donkey, mini horse, and sheep many times with our son, right outside our door, and he loved it. The two Newfoundlands, Max and Lily, are also incredibly sweet and friendly though they mostly kept to themselves. The pool was amazing, clean and perfectly set so that the sun is right on it - we had two very hot afternoons and all three of us enjoyed swimming in it. Finally, the location was great for everything we wanted to do. The walking trails along the Sugar River were great for us and our dog. The proximity to town plus Mt Sunapee, where my husband spent an afternoon biking, is great. Definitely check out Sanctuary Dairy for amazing ice cream! Paul and Cathryn were great hosts who gave us helpful information and answered all our questions but we never felt like we weren't independent, it was perfect. We also appreciated the eggs and bread they left, they were delicious! We would love to come back and spend another long weekend here.
Paul and Cathryn are wonderful people. The bunk house is really nice. Check in and check out is simple. They took the time to show us everything we needed to know, and made recommendations for things to do in the area. We had a dozen fresh eggs from their farm waiting for us in the fridge. The hot tub is perfect after a day of exploration, and the their Newfoundland dogs are just great. The bed was comfortable, and the decor was perfect. Paul and Cathryn provide pretty much everything you need. Washer, dryer, gas stove, dishwasher, towels, spices, a few condiments, and toiletries. I would definitely come back here again. Highly recommended
We enjoyed our stay a Free Will Farm. We were very comfortable in the cottage and would highly recommend it. Paul and Catherine were a pleasure to work with!
The Farm in Newport
Great place! I really appreciate that Paul and Cathryn ( sp?) let me bring my 2 wild hunting dogs there. I live in a similar setting in Maine so me and the dogs are right at home. Can’t wait to see it when the rain stops. Andy M
Charming, cozy New Hampshire cottage
My husband and I loved this cozy little winter getaway in New Hampshire. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Newport has nice restaurants and shops and is close to many interesting sites (Sunapee, Saint-Gaudens Museum, Dartmouth College). I particularly liked hiking along the Sugar River trail. Paul, his wife, and staff were great to work with. We look forward to returning.
Was relaxing & peaceful. You get to enjoy the animals without any of the work. Owners were nice.
