We had an absolutely amazing stay here and would happily come back.I’ll admit that when we first arrived late at night, we were a little anxious. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, and because the home isn’t brand new, not everything is updated. However, by the next morning, we completely understood why this place is so special. The location is incredible. One of our favorite parts of the trip was walking through the rice field paths and lush jungle to restaurants that ended up being some of our favorites—all just about a 12-minute walk away. It felt peaceful, authentic, and unlike anywhere we’ve ever stayed. The home itself is very spacious. Since it’s such a large property and isn’t occupied full-time, there were a few areas that were quite dusty. That said, the housekeeper came every day, mopped the floors, and kept everything tidy, which we really appreciated. The host was wonderful. We asked if it would be possible to arrange a floating breakfast, even though he had never done one before. He gladly organized it for us (for an additional fee), and it turned out beautifully. We really appreciated how accommodating and gracious he was.Overall, this home gave us an unforgettable experience in Ubud. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful place surrounded by nature and don’t mind that it’s a little older rather than ultra-modern, you’ll likely love it as much as we did. We would definitely stay here again.
