Our stay was amazing. The location was ideal in a sense of privacy and wilderness. Bill was great at getting us informed about everything that was available to us during our stay. Will definitely try to have longer stay next time.
This was a great private getaway to enjoy the outdoors and get away from everything. We spent time swimming, fishing, kayaking, hiking through the woods, and sitting around the campfire.
We stayed with 15 people (8 adults 7 kids) and 4 dogs, for a week. It was a wonderful. It’s right on the lake and has a nice side yard for the kids. The tipi is super cool and the house is beautiful, better than the pictures! The owner was super responsive when we had a minor issue and fixed it up right away, he was even there at check in to show us the ins and outs of the property. He has kayaks and a side by side and four wheeler he allowed us to use which was so fun! We will definitely be back!
Beautiful property, house and location. Very comfortable and full of adventure for kids and adults. Lots of fishing and playing on the lake which is beautiful and clean. Fun lake toys and water slide available. The home was comfortable and clean and held all our family and friends well. Board games and basement area was great and useful for rainy days. Hiking and walking trails, fire pits and outdoor areas were awesome. Lots of spots to relax, hammocks and comfortable seating available. Two docks, really everything you would want or need on a cabin/lake vacation. Wi-fi available. Bill is a wonderful host who is available and attentive. We are grateful for our stay and time together enjoying the property, home and lake!

This property is an amazing place to stay if you are looking for peace and privacy. Check in was easy, the host was there when we arrived to let us in. The pond is giant, with fish, turtles, frogs and even a little water snake. 2-story rear deck is large and partially covered. My husband made a batch of sugar water and we enjoyed sitting there watching the hummingbirds come eat. At night we sat by the fire, watched the stars and meteor shower. We slow cooked all day a 25lb turkey over the campfire. Enjoying the sunshine, while our dogs ran around the property living their best lives. The kitchen and house was well stocked for anything we forgot to bring. --- The house has WIFI and you will need it. There is a landline phone that we actually used a few times! There are only 2 & 1/2 bathrooms. Both full bathrooms are either upstairs or on the basement level, so steps are required to access them. It's listed as dog friendly, however, the dogs are only allowed on the main floor (we didn't learn that till we arrived the day of.) The neighbor has a giant white shepherd who stopped by for a visit, fortunately he was super friendly with us and our dogs. The small cottage outside was perfect for the kids - we put a window AC unit and they were happy in there. The basement bedrooms were cool to sleep in, but the main floor and upstairs were a little warm in August. Bring your own drinking water - the house is well water and has high iron levels.
I truly don't think I can say enough about this property to justify just how perfect it was for our annual Labor Day vacation.
To start, Bill was an excellent host. Very responsive and patient with any and all questions we threw his way. He even provided us with a personal tour upon arrival.
The cabin itself, was amazing. Very secluded, spacious, clean, well stocked and nicely set up to allow all parties to have their own areas if needed. We had 8 adults and 7 kids with dogs. And no one was ever on top of each other. In addition, the TeePee was AWESOME! My kids did sleep in it one night and thought it was the coolest thing!
The lake is abosolutely beautiful. It was very well stocked with fish so the kids had a blast fishing. In fact, my one son enjoyed it so much that upon our departure, he was in tears because he just wanted to keep fishing! The kayaks, paddleboards and fishing boat were also loved and used daily throughout our stay.
Another big hit with both the adults and kids were the side by side and atv that Bill was kind enough to allow us to use. There were multiple trips taken daily, along with tons of smiles.
Our dogs enjoyed every moment of the yard and lake while were were here. It was so nice to allow them to just run around and be free without having to worry about cars.
All in all, a perfect place! I am forever grateful for the memories we were able to make with our family and friends and I can't wait to stay here again!
