About this property

Beachside Location at Lecount Hollow With A/C

Beachside location (minutes walk to Lecount Hollow Beach) and comfort are everything for a great vacation. Stay at this cool (central A/C) and comfortable, updated home *within* the National Seashore in Wellfleet. Located on a private road off Ocean View Drive which runs along the Atlantic Ocean. Our road leads to a private path (for residents and guests) directly to LeCount Hollow Beach (minutes away). Enjoy the convenience of being beachside living with parking space for up to 3 cars. No waiting in the car for a public parking spot to open or having to go to the beach at 8 AM to get parking. Walk home for lunch or a snack and go back at your leisure. Additionally, the famous Beachcomber is about a mile down Ocean View Drive (walkable, drive, bike or take the free shuttle). Popular PB boulangerie (French bakery and Bistro) is also about a mile or less away.

As our previous guest reviews suggest, our beach house is in a wonderful beach location. Lecount Hollow (also referred to as McGuire's Landing) and the other National Seashore ocean beaches (Lecounts, White Crest, Cahoon Hollow and Newcomb Hollow) are the most beautiful beaches on Cape Cod and are all located off Oceanview Drive. Other location attractions include a nearby 27 mile bike trail, several fresh water kettle ponds and bayside beaches. We are also about a 5-10 minute drive to the town center and harbor. This great area has always attracted families and friends escaping the rigors of real life. Go home refreshed.

The house itself is one of only ~300 within the National Seashore Park. We have 2 queens and a King bed. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor (Two Queens), and a King downstairs. There are 2 full bathrooms as well as an enclosed outside shower.

There is spacious living room and eat in kitchen. Note that we have upgraded in 2015 with new cabinets, lighting, bedroom furniture and other updates to make even more comfortable and attractive.

The shady, natural patio/yard is a unique feature of the house. It offers a quiet place to relax and have a cocktail or eat outside with family and friends. In the afternoon it is a shady oasis after a hot day at the beach.

At night, walk or drive to the Beachcomber Restaurant/Night Club which features nightly live bands and soloists from all musical genres (~1 mile down Ocean View Drive) or have a cocktail in their beachside bar 'apres beach'. PB Boulangerie and Bistro, an extremely popular French bakery and restaurant, is a mile down the road (15-20 minute walk).

You never need to leave the area but, for the adventurous, there are many other great restaurants, art galleries, golf, mini-golf, drive-in theatre, live theatre and other attractions in Wellfleet and the surrounding towns (P-Town, Truro or Orleans). Provincetown offers a vibrant downtown area which is a *must* visit about 20 minutes away. There is also a variety of night options in Provincetown.

Jog or bike along Ocean View Drive. Fish, swim or relax on the beach or on your patio steps from the Atlantic. Overall, get ready for an amazing, fun and exciting summer getaway with friends, family and the people of LeCount Hollow Beach and Wellfleet! You will not be disappointed.

The only issue was that when we arrived there was no key. Our host was kind enough to drive down from Boston to bring one to us on Christmas day- a four-hour trip for him, and a two-hour wait for us. Other than that, we had a great time. Good kitchen for cooking and eating, a large comfortable living room and bedrooms with comfortable beds. We recommend this place!

We loved the location, right near the bike trail! Near the beach and the Beachcomber too! We also just loved the home and the relaxing sectional in the living room, as well as the backyard, complete with very comfy chairs and a fire pit, easy push button ! Great stay for us 😀!

Spring in Wellfleet

Had a wonderful weekend despite the rainy weather. Location to beach is ideal and we got to see some HUGE storm waves! Several restaurants nearby are open year round which was a plus. Close to Provincetown and the National Seashore beaches. Communication with David was excellent and everything was as described. Nice furniture set up and room to spread out with the downstairs bedroom and full bath. Will definitely be returning to this Wellfleet gem. Thanks!

Perfect Location

We loved the location. It is less than a mile from the Cape Cod Rail Trail for biking and running and an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Also 30 minute drive to Provincetown and 10 minute drive to downtown Wellfleet. Very quiet neighborhood and nice backyard outdoor space for use all times of the day.

Lovely little house; Close to the beach

We very much enjoyed our stay here and loved walking and biking to LeCount Hollow. The first floor rooms were a good fit for our family of five. However, you should note that the third bedroom is in the basement and was not ideal for us (dark and a little musty). Still a fabulous place to stay though.

Easy access to quiet beach

We were very impressed that we did not have to get back in the car to get to the beach. We easily walked down Wilson Avenue, and within three minutes we headed down the dunes to the water below. Everything was quite easy, and the neighborhood was perfectly quiet for older travelers who are just seeking some peace.

Beautiful Getaway in Wellfleet

Family-friendly beach house in a quiet neighborhood near all the sights of Wellfleet. Great location. Walked to the beach every morning and brought the kids to the ponds. Short drives to Chatham, Truro, and Provincetown for dinner. The house has a finished basement with its own bed and bathroom which proved ideal for a babysitter to have their privacy. Highly recommended!

Great Wellfleet Getaway

The house was very clean and setup perfectly to handle a family and then some. It is incredibly conveniently located to the beach so you do not need to worry about packing your car and getting parking . You simply walk to the end of the road and the trail to beach is 100ft long. We could have easily stayed another week or more. There is a nice back patio to eat and grill your dinner too. Would definitely come back next summer.

Perfect house for a getaway. Near the beginning of the Cape Cod rails trail, and can rent bikes at that location, less than 1 mile from the house. Walk to a great beach in just a few minutes. Wonderful restaurants nearby. The house is in very good condition equipt with everything you would need. Twenty year summer resident and homeowner in Wellfleet. This home is our first of three in the area. It is a very unique location and we love it more every year.

Why they chose this property

We vacationed for many years on the outer cape. We bought this home because of its unique location. Walk to the beach is a must as the parking is at a premium on the outer cape beaches.

We offer Sunday to Sunday to avoid the Saturday changeover gridlock on route 6.

What makes this property unique

This home offers so much it is difficult to describe in short. The beach is 300 yards away and the most scenic beach on the cape. While others wait in a hot car for a spot to open up you walk back and forth via a private road/path. Great access for an evening stroll or beach fire with friends.

Famous and popular Beachcomber Oceanside bar and restaurant is a mile away. People drive from all over the cape for PB Boulangerie French bakery and bistro. It is less than a mile away, Bike trail less than a mile.
