The host was amazing! We accidentally locked ourselves out with putting in the door code and he was quick to respond and unlock it. We love this place and have stayed in it 3 or 4 times. This is where we always try to go.
We had the best time fishing and crabbing in Hackberry! This house was perfect right on the water my boys were fishing early in morning until late in evening! They caught flounder, red fish, cat fish, trout and even saw a gar. We are already making plans to rent this place again next year!
We loved the property. Great for a weekend getaway. My husband loved the doc. He and his cousins literally fished all night !! Would definitely recommend and come back
The house is in a quiet neighborhood. It is well maintained and we had no issues with anything in the house. The view is sensational. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunrises. We fished from the pier that is shared with another house and caught some black drum and, of course, hard head catfish. We threw everything back, but there is a nice cleaning station on the end of the pier. There are few places to eat in Hackberry, but we found that there is a grill that's open from 10:30 AM to 8:15 PM most days in the Hackberry Recreation Center located beyond the High School on West Main Street. It's not advertised on the highway or even at the location, but it had very good short-order food. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hopefully can arrange to stay again in the future.
Beautiful camp! Very clean and looks new. Beds were comfy and we had enough beds and room for the 7 of us. Kitchen has all the essentials you need. Washer & dryer came in handy. We loved the view of the water and shipping channel. We had a constant breeze on the balcony which was so nice just to sit and relax. We were able to fish off the dock. David was very easy to communicate with whenever I messaged him. I would definitely recommend this nice camp which is more like a Lake House. The area we were in all had beautiful camps and well kept up.
The camp was gorgeous!! The bed was so comfy, lots of kitchen items we needed were there, the few that weren’t, we were able to run down to Brown’s grocery to pick up. The owner was amazing to communicate with. We decided to make this an annual trip!!
