Welcome to our charming 1940's cottage located in Newport’s historic Point District! This delightful home is perfect for both families and their furry friends. Pets stay free, with no additional pet fees, and all breeds and weights are welcome. Woof!
Step into the inviting living room, where a decorative non-working fireplace adds a touch of charm. Above it, you'll find a 42-inch flat-screen TV, perfect for cozy movie nights. The bedroom is equipped with its own TV and built-in DVD player, ensuring everyone has their own entertainment space. All TVs come with Roku live TV channels, and the high-speed internet and Wi-Fi are ready for all your favorite streaming services. For music lovers, there's a Bose iPod docking station for high-quality listening.
The large, fenced-in backyard is ideal for both family gatherings and pets to play. Enjoy a night out on the town while leaving your pets in a comfortable, home-like environment. Located just two blocks from the water and a waterfront dog park, this cottage offers easy access to a boat ramp and is a short walk to Newport's fabulous restaurants and shops. A charming cottage that was a good fit for us and our two dogs and gave us a chance to explore the Newport area. Kathy was very responsive and attentive to questions and comments.A lovely area with an easy walk to the water with a beautiful view.Highly recommend Belle's at the shipyard a few blocks away. Good food, good view and you can sit on the pier with your dogs.

We had a lovely time staying here! The back yard is large and well fenced and was perfect for our dogs. The front yard is also fenced, which is an added bonus as we didn't have to worry about our dogs running out the front door. The property was clean and welcoming and the bed was very comfortable. We are already talking about returning here in the summer. The host was also great about communication. 5 stars all around!

The Point Cottage provides an authentic, local experience and is ideally situated to provide walking access to all that Newport offers.
After dinner and festivities each evening at the wharves, we walked home to Third Street.

We had a great stay at Point Cottage. It was a perfect haven for my husband and me and our dogs. It’s in an adorable and quiet neighborhood less than a mile walk north of downtown, so quite convenient. The large fenced in backyard was clutch. The house is cozy and true to New England style. Our host Kathy was super accommodating and responsive. Can’t wait to stay here again!

I’d like to address this review, but I had no idea that they had left early until 6:14 pm on the day before they were scheduled to check out. I have no idea why they stayed 2 1/2 days and did not notify me of any issues. If they had notified me at check in I would have called my housekeeper right away to solve any issues, but I can’t fix what I don’t know about. After they checked out, my housekeeper and I did a walk thru of every room and did not smell anything bad. I submitted a review for them with only a low rating on communication. They were good guests and would love for them to come back anytime. Thank you.
