Sunny CDA Cottage – Cozy Midtown Retreat Near Lake

The Sunny CDA Cottage is a charming retreat in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. Built in 1951, the cottage has been updated throughout, while maintaining its retro charm. Our Midtown setting is close enough to wander to the local cafes and breweries while the heart of downtown is simply a 5-minute drive away.

The Space:
COEUR D’ALENE LOCATION

The Sunny CDA Cottage is nestled in Midtown – only 1.4 to 2 miles from downtown, the lakeside McEuen Park, hiking at Tubbs Hill, and the beloved Sanders Beach.

A number of eateries and breweries are a quick walk away: Linden Coffee, The Breakfast Nook, Outpost Brewing, Daft Badger Brewing, and Syringa Japanese Cafe & Sushi Bar.

Around town, enjoy the downtown farmer’s market on Wednesday evenings (May-September) or ArtWalk events on the second Friday of each month. Beyond Coeur d’Alene, we are 19.4 miles to Silverwood Theme Park and 37 miles to Silver Mountain Resort.

RELAXING YARD

Our spacious backyard is fenced in for privacy. Fire up the grill and gather on the patio beneath the glow of string lights. Or build a bonfire in the firepit and swap stories and s’mores.

LIVING ROOM

Our living room is a perfect spot to unwind after your adventures. A lovely picture window brings in all the natural light.

There is plenty of comfortable seating for all with both a sofa and loveseat. A farmhouse cabinet houses a smart TV and our coziest amenity: an electric fireplace. With lots of extra blankets and throws, it’s easy to cuddle up and enjoy a movie or two.

KITCHEN

Sliding glass doors in the kitchen connect you to the backyard. The wooden live-edge table can be used for both meals and game play. The countertop tiles are original to our home while a sea of white and gray cabinets and stainless-steel appliances are decidedly more modern. We offer a coffee & tea bar and a snack basket to welcome you.

2 BEDROOMS

We have two cozy bedrooms. Unwind among decorative pillows, curtained windows and bedside tables with lamps. Each room also comes with a desk and generous closet.

Our home comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests.

1 FULL BATHROOM

White and sandy hues in the bathroom meet striking fixtures of silver and brass. For your convenience we stock cotton pads and swabs, floss picks, hair ties, hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and makeup washcloths.
