Great location for getting around San Jose and surrounding area. Host was very attentive. Place was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this rental. My only slight disappointment was the kitchen. I like to cook when I'm traveling and the kitchen was missing a few basics (salt/pepper, ice trays, hand soap).

Overall a pretty good stay. Great location. Could use additional amenities especially for the price paid. Cleaning could also be better. It’s decent if you’re not picky, though.

Broken furniture - chairs were broken and covered with tape as a “fix”. But worst of all one of the beds is broken, they know it, never communicated that or replaced it. We ended up sleeping on a mattress on the floor - not at all what we paid for.

Nice location. Felt safe in neighborhood. Property should be cleaned better. Floors were dirty, opened windows due to nice weather and no ac in bedrooms but they were very dirty and hard to open. Only 2 forks in kitchen but we had 5 guest. Outlet in bathroom did not work. Sponge in kitchen to clean items was very old and dirty. Simple stuff I think owner could easily fix and make this better, not horrible but stayed in much nicer places.

The property was great. I would like hand soap in each bathroom. I would have liked to be informed that there was a renter in the back, sharing the washer and dryer and that we needed to keep the laundry room locked. The most important thing for us, was there was not central heating and only forced heating in the living room.He does need to work with the cleaning crew. The kitchen utensils were dirty and there was leftover pizza in the microwave.

I'm not gonna lie, I have a good handful of critiques, complaints, and questions about this place. - The microwave and toaster are placed inconveniently low in a gutted pantry when there is ample counter space - Fold out bed was dirty with stained sheets - Towels are washed, but not completely dry. Providing damp towels when you need to dry off - A couple of the dining table chairs are broken and patched with duct tape -The trash can is in an inconvenient spot where the lid has heavily marked and dinged the wall due to heavy use - The AC leaks water directly on/in the TV - 2nd bedroom bedframe is broken and held together with duct tape and plastic spacers - Showers have very low water pressure and are only useful if you have little to no hair - Water temperature is inconsistent at providing constant high heat - Windows in the kitchen are locked in the open position. Why? - There is no central AC system. An air conditioner is located in the main commons room, and standing fans are provided in each room. This is a bit odd in conjunction with locking open the windows in the kitchen - The toilet paper holder in the second bathroom is non-existent, despite existing in the listing image, and instead a roll is left for you on the sink All in all, the house seems nice in the listing but has a handful of broken furniture and poorly managed amenities. It very much feels like they're giving you the "landlord special" with this one. Hopefully they fix those things by the time you book.

I agree with Nathan’s May 2026 assessment. Conditions seem to be the same and nothing has been addressed. We booked prior to the negative reviews being posted and would not have booked as they are accurate.
