Creekfront Retreat on Yellow Breeches, Sleeps 8, Kayaks, Firepit, Fishing
Creekfront on the Yellow Breeches — room for the whole group!
Set right on the banks of the Yellow Breeches Creek, this 3-bedroom home sleeps 8 with space for everyone to spread out. Two primary suites, each with a private en-suite, make it easy for two couples or multiple generations to share without crowding. The third bedroom sleeps three more, and a foldable queen is available on request.
The heart of the home is an open living, dining, and kitchen space with an oversized sectional and 86" smart TV, built for meals together and easy evenings in. A three-season porch overlooks the water, where bald eagles, herons, deer, and owls are regular visitors.
Outside, the deck and backyard open directly to the creek. Four kayaks with paddles and life jackets are ready at the water, fishing gear is provided, and the firepit, BBQ grill, and lawn games (cornhole, bocce, horseshoes) keep all ages busy. Kids under 12 wear life jackets on the water.
The kitchen is fully equipped for group cooking: espresso machine, coffee maker and grinder (coffee provided), air fryer, crockpot, blender, food processor, and full cookware. Board games and movie nights round out the evenings.
Layout details for planners: Both primary suites have a King or Cal-King with en-suite (one downstairs with a shower, one upstairs with shower and tub). The upstairs suites are loft-style, with separate stair entrances, no doors, and no connecting wall, so the group still gets privacy. The third bedroom has a Queen plus a Full.
The location: Yellow Breeches Creek for trout fishing and paddling from the backyard. The Appalachian Trail trailhead at Boiling Springs is under 2 miles, with Children's Lake, the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail, and Allenberry Resort (0.3 miles, farm-to-table dining at The Barn) close by. Carlisle is under 8 miles, near the Carlisle Fairgrounds and its annual car shows. Day trips reach Hersheypark, Gettysburg, Lancaster, and Harrisburg. Dickinson College (8.8 miles) and Messiah University (7.5 miles) are both close, whether you're visiting for parents weekend, graduation, or alumni events.
Good to know: Self check-in by keypad. High-speed Wi-Fi and a dedicated desk for anyone working remotely. Well-behaved dogs welcome with approval and a fee; the property is unfenced and rural. Ample parking for 4 vehicles on a quiet private street.

About the host
Hosted by Stacey Kalmanovitz
Hi I'm Stacey and I grew up in Boiling Springs (in this house). I had an idyllic childhood spending HOURS playing outside here.
I love hosting because it gives me a chance to share the magic of Boiling Springs, the Yellow Breeches Creek, and this home with the world. Growing up in this house, I made many happy memories playing outside and running free and it brings me joy to open my special home to other families!
My husband and I live in California, but like to spend time here when we can. Most weekends you will find us at the beach, listening to live music, or cooking. We have 3 dogs (Deacon, Watson & Otto), we are dog-people and we love hosting well-behaved fur babies.
Why they chose this property
This neighborhood is surrounded by nature and it forces you to slow down a bit. You can sit with your coffee watching blue herons and egrits in our yard, watch the trout jump in the creek, listen to the birds and at night, the owls. Occasionally, you will see snapping turtles, deer, and even a bald eagle. Each year around Thanksgiving, I see a group of wild turkeys on the property. This is the ultimate place to get away and enjoy some calm.
What makes this property unique
My parents converted the house from a one-bedroom fishing cabin to an A-frame 3 bedroom with two loft-style bedrooms on either side. It's truly unique for families to get together in the large living room and porch but still have separate privacy of their own bedroom spaces. We want others to feel at home here which is why the kitchen is stocked with amenities for cooking, we have many board games (for rainy days), and 4 kayaks to take on the creek. This is a place to come together and make cherished memories.
