Eclectic, clean, comfortable cottage featuring original artwork, located in walking distance of Berea College campus, Artisan Village/Old Town area, art galleries, unique shops, The Lot, Rebel Rebel, Nightjar, Sunhouse Craft, and Native Bagel. A short drive to the Pinnacles and kayaking at Owsley Fork Lake. The location is great! A cozy patio in front of the home with a swing and a tree canopied deck in back that feels like being in a treehouse. Basic TV channels and high-speed internet.

Comfy cottage

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stayIt was very clean and relaxing. Loved the quiet street, the view out back and the porch swing. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Very comfortable stay!!

Very comfortable stay! Beds were comfy, as well as couch! Furnace worked well and loved the various blankets and quilts! Needs better lighting in the food prep area - maybe under cabinet lighting! Was really nice to find coffee there!

Delightful Host and Cottage!!!

This cottage was a fun place to stay during our cross-country trip recently. It was super clean, well stocked, peaceful, comfy and artfully decorated. Our host Amy had lots of helpful information available (places to eat, visit, shop, etc.) and was very prompt when we needed to contact her with a need. The cottage is located near the center of the community - easy walking or short driving distance to shops, artisans, farmers market, Berea College, music and much more. We would definitely recommend staying here! Karen & Don K.

Such a lovely house!

We did have some difficulty finding the street, but once there, loved the quietness of the neighborhood. All information was available in the binder and the decor was great! We slept comfortably and enjoyed the deck in the back as well as the front porch seating. So happy we found this place.

Quaint and cozy

This picture-perfect cottage getaway is decorated with the host’s beautiful art. The back bedroom has a treehouse feel with greenery engulfing the cottage and a lovely, private patio. It was a perfect, quiet, private refuge with an amazing front porch on a serene street. Highly recommend!

This was definitely an artist's cottage - what a treat after staying in generic hotels. It was an absolutely beautiful and creative space to relax in. The street is quiet, there was a walking path close, and the host left lots of tips about the area. We sat on the deck and watched fireflies, chilled out with wifi, and took a nice soak in the tub. So glad we stayed in Berea.

Nice Cottage & Safe Neighborhood

We stayed overnight at Amy's Cottage to reduce our driving time and found it to be a nice location for our stay. The cottage is clean, cozy, with all the amenities we needed. Neighborhood is friendly and town charming where we found Memorial Park close to the property for a long scenic walk. Parking is right across from the Cottage and felt comfortable leaving our SUV fully packed. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again. Many thanks to Amy! Cute and Quaint Cottage!

This is the second time I've stayed at Amy's Cottage because it is just perfect. I love the decor and how cozy it is. It's kept immaculately clean and it's a perfect base for exploring Berea College and town!

Comfortable, Clean, and Cozy

The Berea Painter's Cottage was exactly what we were looking for. It was on a quiet street. It was tastefully decorated, and very clean. It was comfortable, and cozy. Amy Lewis was so cordial and kind, when we had to call with some questions. She went above and beyond to welcome us. I would highly recommend this cottage. It is obvious that Amy takes pride in her property and cares about the people who rent from her. Our stay was September, 2017. I plan to rent from Amy Lewis again. Not one disappointment! Thank you.

Beautifully appointed!

The cottage was beautifully appointed, and the back deck nice and private. The shower was pretty small, and it needs a vent fan. I thought it would have central air, but there was only the bedroom air-conditioner and it got a little warm. But otherwise, it was a wonderful stay. The owner provided some amenities no guest would expect. We loved it!

Wonderful town, beautiful people, arts, crafts, history and music.

We can't say enough of the great two weeks we spent here. Everyone is so accommodating, especially our host, Amy. Her cottage is delightful, lovely outside sitting areas, furnished with everything one needs for a stay here. The claw foot bath tub with a wrap around shower curtain was difficult but it adds to the ambience of the cottage. With my husband being up in age, it was hard for him but not for me. The cottage is very comfortable, decorated well with Amy's paintings and her personal touches. This is a very safe neighborhood, as we left our car window wide open one night and nothing was disturbed in our packed car. This home is within walking distance to restaurants, downtown, shops, Berea College, Artisans Village and music events. It's a short drive to Richmond, Lexington and Mt. Vernon, home of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Renfro Valley Entertainment Center. There is so much to do and see here, after two weeks, we still missed a few things. There are also a few golf courses here that are a good value, well maintained and fun to play.
