Cozy casita ideal for couples & solo travelers It has all the needed comfort in a rustic tico style; stove, fridge, micro wave, utensils and for travelers that are looking for a quiet location that will allow them to take in the natural surrounding - Nature Lovers. Manicured gardens and a forest as your back yard, very common to spot wildlife on site and view birds right from your terrace with chances to spot Agoutis, White Faced Monkeys, various birds that are residents of the area.

The casita is rustic but had everything we needed. Small kitchen was nice so we could make breakfast before our adventures. Larry was a great host giving us an orientation to the area. It was kind of chilly and windy during our visit, so unfortunately we weren't able to truly enjoy the cute small patio overlooking the stream.

Easy going, peaceful time in idyllic spot. Very private. Road is unpaved and parking though ample was difficult to manage. All in all I loved it

This casita was just perfect for me. The environment is great, in nature but close enough to town and easy access. I don’t know how I’ll ever sleep again without the sound of this stream! That’s definitely the best!

Lovely spot to stay in the bustling Monte Verde area.

Although very close to town, this place is tucked away just far enough so you are really able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest right from your balcony overlooking the stream. You can also stroll paths right from your door for an hour or two. No need to make plans in the Monte Verde area. Your hosts will be more than willing to make connections for you when you get there. This place is owned and operated by an extended local family. Their care and attention is evident. We highly recommend staying here when you visit this area

Less than expected

Larry and Oscar were good and helpful. We had no transportation and every time Larry went to town, he asked us if we needed to go. However, we were there for 5 weeks and the pots and pans and dishes were all mismatched and most of the lids were missing. There was only one pasta bowl and no other bowls. We only had two large plates and two small ones. The only place that had hot water was the suicide shower and the pressure needed to be almost off before the water was warm enough. There were no storage containers for leftovers. We enjoyed the area and found that it was not a bad place, just needs some upgrading.

Great location for Monteverde and Santa Elena. Larry and Oscar are amazing hosts!

The location is great for exploring Monteverde and Santa Elena. Larry sat down with us for almost an hour telling us about different sights to see and places to eat. I did months of research, but he told us about some places that I'd never heard of. Wifi was great, and they'll even help you do laundry.

Great little get-away!

We felt very welcomed by Oscar. He has a very nice property up in the mountain. The little cabin was exactly what we needed. Close enough to town and able to enjoy all Monteverde has to offer. We will be back!!
