We truly enjoyed our stay here. Lidiana welcomed us with a home cooked meal and showed us the sloth and frogs around her property. Lidiana and her family were so kind and truly made our stay in La Fortuna so wonderful.

Ceibo Arenal Home is a wonderful place to experience the beauty of Costa Rica. The gardens are absolutely amazing, teeming with frogs of all kinds, along with beautiful plants and other wildlife. If you enjoy nature, you will love exploring the property.Lidianna is an exceptional host—warm, kind, and incredibly generous. She welcomed our family and even allowed our children to roam the property in the evenings looking for frogs, plants, and wildlife. She had freshly prepared pineapple mango juice in the refrigerator upon arrival. Ceibo Arenal was truly one of the highlights of our trip.The accommodations are comfortable and provide a chance to experience what feels like an authentic Costa Rican neighborhood rather than a typical tourist area. Our stay was in July and the temperature of the home was perfect with a/c in the main room and fans in the bedroom. We did not get one mosquito bite during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Lidiana and family made us feel at home. House was clean and well equiped. But highlight of our our stay was definitely cooking class with Lidiana. Not only was the food delicious, Aaron gave us a tour of the vegetable garden with viewing of the resident sloth 'Crash' and frog and bird watching after dinner. We will definitely stay with them again.

The nicest host family with the best location! We loved all the birds, frogs and the sloth on property. We enjoyed a fun evening cooking with Lidiana and her family and the food was delicious! She was very gracious and accommodating to our early arrival and made our stay special.

Lidiana is an incredible host. She made us feel very welcome. The house is lovely. She even holds cooking classes but we weren't able to participate this time. Her home is surrounded by a lovely garden and animals. The only thing missing is an outlet in the bathroom. There is air conditioning in the main part of the house, but the bedrooms had fans. Parking was very easy as well. The downtown area is conveniently located as well. The mojitos were delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

Rustic house on the country side with lots of nature around with birds, frogs and cackling chicken. 10 minutes away from La Fortuna. Lidiana is a lovely host and prepares delicious local food together with her husband.

Convenient location

The house was located so close to town so it was easy to get to dining and shopping. Some excursions were a little drive but would have been for the local resorts also. I wish we had taken an opportunity to eat at the host house, sounded like everything was delicious there, but we didn’t have the time. We loved walking the property every night to hunt for frogs!

We loved everything about our stay here! The place is clean and the owners are friendly. They are quick to answer and help in anyway they can. The back yard with the sloth and the volcano view were amazing!

Lidiana and the Ceibo Arenal Home were absolutely amazing. I cant explain enough how amazing our trip was and how great Lidiana was. We had absolutely no issues and we will definitely stay here again on future trips.

Very nice house with very nice hosts and property

The house is very nice and comfortable. What makes this property special is the hos, the property and a great location. Though the property is not particularly large it is packed full of interesting plants and wildlife (birds, a young sloth, reptiles, etc.). The host was always willing to answer our questions and we had a great time taking a cooking class (a family affair) where we prepared, cooked and then ate a wide variety of local foods. Great place to stay.

Wonderful stay

We had a lovely stay in this house just outside La Fortuna. We had delicious meals and highly recommend having breakfast and dinner at the house. It was amazing to see Flash the sloth hanging out in the garden. The house has a great location near activities but gives an authentic feel. Pura vida!

We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful. The hosts are very responsive and attentive. The area is beautiful. We heard and saw lots of birds. We even got lucky and saw an armadillo walk across the yard.

Great Location!

We enjoyed meeting Lidiana and taking a tour of her garden. Seeing "Flash" the sloth and the twins was quite a treat. Lidiana makes the best tea fresh from the garden! As an added bonus, the home is located near to many of La Fortuna's best attractions.

Fantastic!

My family stayed here and had an amazing time. The house was perfect for us. Lidiana & Eddie were an amazing host. They prepared a meal for us and it was amazing. It was a true Costa Rican experience! Highly recommend this house and would stay there again.

Beautiful Property, great hosts! Had everything needed for our stay. Close to all the local attractions and restaurants, peaceful area to relax. Did the cooking class with our family and had a wonderful time, breakfast was amazing and beautiful farm and fresh organic gardens. Kids had fun with all the friendly pets. This place was just amazing! Would totally recommend and we’re coming back next time we visit!

Great for a family trip

This house worked great for our stay in the La Fortuna area. We appreciated having three separate bedrooms (each with a fan!) as it allowed us a spread out a bit. The area was very quiet. Unfortunately, since it was the rainy season, we did not get to see much of the sloths. We would definitely look to stay here again if we come back to Costa Rica!

Loved our stay

We loved our stay at Lidianas and Eddie’s. Very kind and generous hosts. The house was charming and comfortable. Beautiful property. Great location. Breakfasts were the best we had in Costa Rica. Traveled with four boys. They loved looking for the animals (frogs, sloths, toucan). Definitely would go back!
