Clean and comfortable home in a beautiful location! Home is tastefully decorated and spacious. Scenic hiking trails nearby. Noelle is a great host! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We choose this property to be close to family while visiting in Brookline for a few days. We appreciate that the owners were nearby, the property well cared for, and the space allowed for all of us to gather and have fun together. Our family loves ping-pong so the garage table got lots of use, as did the basement pool table!
The host was very welcoming. House has a great layout for a family/group and is beautiful. Loved the handmade pottery. Easy to get to and close to skiing, food, hiking etc.
House was very nice, clean and neat. Wonderful entertainment & River was an easy 30 second walk away. Would definitely recommend and consider revisiting!
The River House was an excellent home for our visit to VT. We leveraged the well stocked kitchen to prepare dinners each night of our trip. The basement entertainment and pool table were big hits for our down time. The three bedrooms allowed each of us some space to relax on our own. The garage space was a super bonus in the winter to keep our car inside. We spent three days at Mount Snow and one day at Okemo and location was good to keep our driving distance reasonable. There was a nice grocery store, gas, small town shop, restaurant, and post office within 5 minute drive. Noelle (the host) was very responsive and helpful before, during, and after our stay. It is a lovely home and we had everything we needed in picturesque Vermont setting. I highly recommend this house for your stay in the area.
Stay was great. House and land were great. We enjoyed the river. The only downfall is there is no phone service. You have wifi, but if you step outside you lose it. We had a medical emergency and it took a while to be able to connect to 911.

I am so sorry that happened! I wish I would have known to help! I hope all is well….❤️❤️❤️
This property is newly renovated, exceptionally clean, well located next to the river, and uniquely decorated with owner created and produced items from dish sets to pillows and various artworks throughout the home. The hosts, Noelle and Eric, were extremely helpful with explaining the house and surroundings to us, and were always available for any questions or needs that we might have. A really exceptional house with gracious hosts nearby. Highly recommended and we hope to visit again.

Thank YOU for choosing the River House! We hope you visit again! ❤️
The River House was exactly the refuge our family needed over a long weekend. Not only did the home comfortable sleep 6 adults, and a toddler. We had everything we needed at the house, it was conveniently located and provided an oasis.
The ping-pong and pool table were a huge hit, and the large private deck comfortable fit our family of 8.
We cannot wait to return!
We had a wonderful family visit at the river house! The newly remodeled house was absolutely stunning, as was the surrounding nature. What made this house the most unique stay was the decor, ALL made by Noelle. From the artwork, to the pottery table ware, and even the pillows, Noelle’s artwork is incredible and made the experience so special. In addition, Eric was immediately responsive to any request or question and it was a pleasure to meet both Eric and Noelle! We recommend The River House to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in southern VT. We look forward to returning in the future!!

Me and a few friends stayed at the River House during a long weekend during the Winter. The house itself was very nice and had many amenities. The location is good for some of the ski resorts in lower Vermont. However there was a rather large snow storm and due to the half hour 40 minute drive to the mountain we were not able to go because of the roads. This was no fault of the owners obviously but if you want to guarantee getting to the mountain maybe pick a place closer and have access to a car with 4x4 capabilities that can make it through snow.Even though we were snowed in we still had plenty to do as the house was full of board games, a pool table and a TV you could hook up any gaming system to.Be aware that you will also be totally reliant on the wifi at the house. the location is a dead spot for cell service. At one point our internet was disconnected and it took us awhile to realize that it went down but all it took is for one of us to unplug and plug the router back in and it went back up.Overall a really fun trip.
