This lovely, private apartment is at the East end of the island on a dead end road in an extremely quiet location. The view is gorgeous and the walk to Zoni beach is only about 10 minutes. The sound of the waves is so relaxing and peaceful.
It is located in a private home and has a great screened in patio, perfect for brunch or dinner. There is a new deck with a gas grill. The apartment is furnished with a king size bed, comfortable chairs, and a small kitchen.
There is good Wi-Fi service and satellite television. All linens are provided as well as beach chairs and a cooler. spacious, breezy comfort in a very
quiet and private location.
Please note the apartment is not air conditioned. It is quite comfortable with two overhead ceiling fans and a lovel ocean breeze.

Perfect Location!

There could not have been a better place for us to celebrate our honeymoon. Bonnie and Sam have made a fabulous getaway and you can see the care they have put into making every visitor as comfortable as possible. The location and view is amazing. We loved being so close to Zoni beach! My husband and I rented a couple paddle boards and snorkels for the week and it was so much fun! We found fabulous snorkeling, right in Zoni, and were also able to paddle to different areas away from everyone. We spent a week at the apartment and still could have gone to many other beaches. The apartment is perfect with a special screened in patio in case you needed a sun escape, but still wanted to feel like you were outdoors. All the screens and open windows were perfect - we didn't miss AC at all, and loved hearing the ocean every night. I would recommend checking the restaurant schedule when you get to the island to plan your meals a little. Some of the places that people recommended were closed the days we tried to go to them, but it was pretty fun and easy to cook in the well stocked kitchen and the deck outside is absolutely fabulous in the evenings. Was a perfect place for a sunset cocktail. It's a pretty quiet little town, but definitely fun to head in and join the boating scene from every one cruising in on their dinghies. I know we'll be back to Culebra and will definitely stay with Bonnie and Sam again!

Quiet, beautiful, and rustic

We have been to Culebra many times and even lived there for a time a while back. This was our first time staying on this side of the island, as we were looking for peace, seclusion, and quiet. For the first week, there was construction on the house in front of the property. The owner was not on the island for the first week but was very responsive and extremely apologetic about the construction. This would have been a key piece of information to have before booking. The second week was quiet, but the heat was oppressive, especially without air conditioning or a cross breeze. We were not able to leave the porch sliding door, front door, or bathroom door open for the breeze due to substantial holes in the screens. The tv is pretty much non-functional, even for the occasional movie. There was so much buffering that nothing played without stopping or kicking us out. We were able to use my laptop to watch movies at night without buffering. With all of that said, the owner was kind and responsive, and the view is out of this world. We recognize that Culebra is rustic, and that is what we like about it, but this was brushing up against even our rustic comfort zone. We enjoyed our stay overall, but the basement apartment could use some updates. Before booking the next time we visit the island, we will be asking about the a/c, construction, and whether the casita is attached or free-standing.

Amazing!

Everything about our stay here was wonderful. I'll start with the location. You can see the ocean from the deck and you can also see a lagoon that had a permanent heron. We had visits from the "wild" horses... which I loved and the stars in the sky at night were brilliant. The apartment was exactly what we needed. Comfortable bed, sitting area, kitchen, and bathroom/shower with an amazing view. We ended up grilling a couple of times and also making breakfast every day. We had everything we needed. Bonnie provided beach chairs and a cooler that we used daily. She was easy to get a hold of any time we needed anything and Dan was always helpful with advice about the island. I'm going to be dreaming about this place for a long time.... hopefully we can make our way back soon.

This studio has everything you could want: cleanliness, fully stocked kitchen, outdoor gas grill, great patio, surreal view of the ocean, close to the secluded Zoni beach, and kind hosts. Unfortunately, the noseeum and mosquitoes made the stay quite unbearable at times as the window screens are not effective against the tiny nosseum. It's hard to overstate how awful nosseum bites are. Bring lots and lots of deet and spray liberally.

Had a lovely stay, despite travel delays. Bonnie was very sweet and helped me find an alternate flight to get us to Culebra when our flight was cancelled. Once there, we enjoyed the room, eating most meals on the screened in porch with view of Zoni Beach and beyond. Enjoy getting away from it all with great beaches all around.

A Quiet, Peaceful and Beautiful Haven

My wife and I have been going to Culebra for twenty years as our winter escape or more to the point a mental health vacation. This year was our first stay at the DiSilvo's property and we were not disappointed. We had a wonderful week. The apartment is very comfortable with a decently equipped kitchen; nice bathroom with a shower with a view; the bed was comfortable (firm mattress) and we slept well - an important factor for a vacation. The property has a big yard with a view of the sea and the island Cayo Norte. Their is a screened in porch and a nice patio. We loved to sit outside and watch the sunset slowly fade to dark. It is a great place to star gaze. The 10 minute walk to Zoni is a definite plus. Zoni has always been one of our favorite places on Culebra - it has a wildness to it that appeals to us. Also this part of the island is very peaceful and away from the, thought be small, hustle-bustle of town. We hope to have the opportunity to stay at the DiSilvo's apartment again. Tim and Diane

this is a great location! We stayed there in mid March 2017. Beautiful view and very quiet! very roomy and well equipped! The owners, who are very nice, stay upstairs, so you always have help if needed, but the apartment is very private, being on the lower level at back of house. Only about 5 miles from "town". I do suggest a jeep rental though to get you to all the different beaches on this quaint, low key island. The view from the (indoor) shower is so amazing!! Make sure you do the hike to Brava Beach - about a 30 minute walk from the trail head, but so worth it! of course Zoni beach is beautiful too and don't miss Flaminco Beach where most of the action is during the day. I wish i was back there right now.....

Easily My Best VRBO Experience

This is the only VRBO rental I've stayed in where the pictures truly don't do it justice. The views from the apartment, the deck, and the shower (yes, the shower) are incredible, overlooking the sea, with Cayo Norte in view, you'll see a yacht or two pass between. The house is halfway up a hillside above Zoni Beach, where there's always a pleasant breeze. You've got everything you need if you're a couple or a single traveler - fridge, oven, microwave, coffee maker, private bathroom and shower, king size bed, even beach chairs. You'll want to rent a car or a golf cart so you can get back and forth to town or to any of the other beaches besides Zoni, which is an easy walk. Zoni Beach is secluded, but if you're adventurous, nearby Resaca and Brava beaches, which both require a hike, are even more remote and beautiful. Owners Bonnie and Sam are terrific. They are longtime Culebra residents, and will give you as much guidance as you need, or leave you alone if that's what you prefer. I could have spent a week or more in this apartment, and the price is right - huge bang for your buck.

Peacful retreat

Perfect little efficiency with exquisite view of Zoni Beach. It was such a treat to wake up every morning and have breakfast on the charming little porch and I loved viewing all of the stars before going to bed at night. Slept exceptionally well; comfortable bed and absolute quite. A great place to stay for rest and relaxation. Only a 15 min. drive to town and several decent hikes nearby, not to mention a short walk to Zoni beach. I miss it already!

Our new favorite vacation spot! Hidden Heaven.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. It’s an all in one package deal. Culebra itself is a pristine and unspoiled place, still undiscovered by commercial investors, perfect for anyone who is looking for beautiful beaches , amazing snorkeling spots, breathtaking views, friendly people and a peaceful and relaxing time. Zonni Beach is one of the best beaches on Culebra (honestly, they are all great and at the same time each one of them is different in its own way). Comfortable and cozy, Zonni Beach Studio was our home for 5 short days. It has everything you need to feel relaxed and welcome, plus extra in the form of beautiful views from the screened porch and the shower. You are only a walking distance away from Zonni Beach and about 15 to 20 minutes of a stress free drive to town and other beaches. Last of all, but most importantly, we made new friends, Bonnie and Sam, our great, knowledgeable and welcoming hosts.

Excellent place with the perfect amount of seclusion.

Absolutely perfect destination. Zoni is (for our money) the best beach on the island, simply because people just don't seem to go there. And the house is as quiet as anything you've ever imagined. The amenities are perfect: burners are great for cooking (we cooked nearly all of our meals); the bed is huge and comfortable; the breeze through the house is perfect; and the shower needs to be seen to be believed. Bonnie and her husband had plenty of expert advice for life on the island, and any questions we had before and during the stay got answered with ease. This is a tremendous, low-key, high-relaxation place to stay, and we would recommend to anyone looking for the same.

Great place to stay

We had a great stay at this Zoni beach apartment. Culebra in general was relaxed, amazing snorkeling, a perfect getaway vacation, and staying with Bonnie was a perfect way to do it. The large studio apartment was clean and comfortable. Comfortable king bed. Nice views. Cute sunroom with a breakfast nook where we enjoyed views of the ocean in the distance. The bathroom was really beautiful. Best shower ever -- between the beautiful tile-work and the amazing view (and Bonnie and her husband collect rain water for all of the water so it is even eco-friendly!). The kitchen was more than we needed -- full size fridge, a few stove top burners. We didn't plan to do a lot of cooking and we could have done a lot more than we did (though it is not a full kitchen so if cooking is a top priority, it may not suit). Dishes, glasses, wine glasses, pots, pans, silverware, etc. all provided. As were beach towels, beach chairs and a cooler, which we really appreciated! As for location, this apartment was great for us. A 5 mile (but probably more like 12-15 minute) drive into town, so it is a little outside of "downtown". The whole island is very mellow, so being in downtown is neither a major draw nor a drawback -- we found the distance of this apartment to downtown totally fine. We out exploring the island most days, came back to relax in the afternoon, and went back to town for dinners. You do need a car if you stay here (though, in my opinion, it would make sense to get a car on Culebra no matter where you stay). It is a 5 minute or so stroll to Zoni beach which is, like all Culebra beaches, beautiful and relaxing. Perfect for strolling. We took a swim at Zoni too. Zoni is not a snorkeling beach (or at least wasn't when we were there due to waves), but it's easy to get to snorkeling by car from this property. Bonnie and her husband were welcoming and also very much allowed us to do our own thing (which is our preference), so we appreciated the available but hands-off style. I would stay here again!

Accessible remoteness

Without a doubt we would recommend this private apartment to family and friends - ideal location for a couple looking for a quiet place to sleep after spending the day exploring the island.The kitchenette provides just enough infrastructure for coffee and breakfast on the enclosed porch, sandwich making for the beach or cocktails and snacks to watch the sunset. The inside-outside shower is an absolute highlight as are the views. The best part of this rental is the owners - responsive and caring, respectful of your privacy or willing to share insights of the island.

Beautiful ocean views!

This studio apartment was ideal for a stay in Culebra. The screened in front porch keeps the bugs out and looks over beautiful Zoni beach. Clean, bright, and airy. It is the perfect place for a couple seeking something a little off the beaten path. The small kitchen suited our needs well. It affords a quiet place to relax after days spent exploring the island.

Wonderful Spot to Relax in the Caribbean

Great location on the east side of Culebra -- with a truly awesome view of the ocean and a nearby island. Liked the quiet and privacy, and less than 10 min walk to a beautiful beach. The apartment was bright and spacious, and the king bed was comfortable. Bonnie and Sam were friendly hosts, and knowledgeable about the entire island. Have recommended this place to family and friends, and we hope to come back again.

Beautiful spot!

This apartment is a 5-10 minute walk from one of the most secluded beaches on Culebra. There is a screened in porch with a view that is the perfect spot to read and drink tea in the morning. The bed was super comfortable and fans keep it cool and breezy. The owners are really friendly and helpful. In all of the years I've been coming to Puerto Rico, this was my favorite place that I've stayed. So peaceful!
