This extended closure is necessary for the full replacement of the membrane system beneath the Courtyard, as part of essential structural maintenance and improvement work.**

Fire alarm went off. Smoke in the building. My children and I went down the fire escape only to be trapped on the ground floor. Had to push through a construction site to safety. My daughter has it on video and we will share with the local municipality fire and safety regulator.

I’m really sorry you and your children experienced that.
I would like to clarify, the alarm and construction situation was due to an issue with the building’s renovation managed by the strata, and not related to the unit itself. However it is still unreasonable I agree, but we do feel the 1-star review doesn’t accurately reflect the unit itself.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and are following up with the strata management.

Our family had the best trip to Whistler. The condo was well appointed and perfect for our needs and super close to the gondola! We would all highly recommend!
The view and accessibility were fantastic. The layout of the condo was perfect. It was updated throughout and even included heated floors for those cool days/nights!
Glacier Lodge is a short walk to the gondola. Located near all Blackcomb has to offer. The ski valet makes it easy to store your gear. The condo is a great size. Kitchen has everything you need.

Great location.
Room is nicely updated. Bathrooms and kitchen were great.
Been going to Whistler for 10 years and been I. Much more expensive places but this might have been our favourite.
Property was perfectly located! Close to lifts, restaurants and bars. The layout of the condo was great and the views on two sides were amazing! Everything was very clean and staff was super friendly and helpful.

Great Location, Nice Upgrades
Overall a great experience staying at #320. The condo is nicely upgraded and provided plenty of space for our family of 5. It was easily walkable to many activities and we enjoyed the pool in the afternoons.
I would give it 5 stars except the dishes were not clean upon arrival and there was an odd smell in the master bathroom throughout the weekend.

The located in the Whistler Upper Village (aka Blackcombe), location is fantastic literally a quick stroll to the Gondola and a easy stroll to the Whistler Village.
The unit was spacious enough for 6 adults (four singles and a couple).
The kitchen had all the equipment needed to prepare a variety of meals.
The ski valet service at the rental shop was a big plus.
Hot tubs and pool were an awesome way to finish the ski day, and ease the sore legs.
Although located in the Upper Village it was quiet location (snow plows were the exception at 6:30 am, but its a ski resort so you have to expect snow and snow plows.)
Overall the condo was good, great location and clean. It was our second time at this condo.
A few minor issues light bulbs out in the kitchen and the main bathroom shower wand would not stay put. And the facility small hot tub jets didn't work.
Some confusion on the beds setup, although confirmed in advance was not correct on arrival and when I called was told it would be the next day before it could fixed. When we arrived back after a day of skiing the next the beds were being reset up but not as requested, it was a good thing we arrived back before the room staff left again.

Central location that looks nice BUT...
Property management is holding this place back. Which kept our experience from being nice. We travel a lot as a family and rent through Vrbo about 5x/year — so I have plenty to benchmark this place against. Spend your dollars elsewhere — there are plenty of options at the base in Whistler.
First, the pros: at base of mountain, in heart of Upper Village. Beds comfortable (must have been replaced since prior guests complaints about beds). Comfortable unit for a family of 5. On site covered parking. Food/beverages/activities literally outside your doorstep. Fantastic central location for enjoying Whistler’s beauty.
Cons: too much missed upkeep by property management. Dishwasher non functioning. The dishware from prior guests was in cabinet with food and fingerprints caked on. I assumed that it had not been washed — only for dishes to come out the same way when I washed ours. So that was gross. If property management is not noticing that there is literally food caked on the “clean” dishes, what else isn’t being cleaned? Lesser infractions include stained, coarse bath towels, missing remotes, remotes with dead batteries, and about half the unit’s lightbulbs were burned out. Property management emailed to ask how our stay was going and invited our feedback by email. Which I gave by email — and received no response until after we checked out days later. In hindsight, I could have escalated this — but at the same time don’t feel that I should have to for a unit at this price point.
I hate to penalize the owner with a bad review — but they are at the mercy of the management and the management is letting them down.

Firstly- I am very sorry to hear about your experience at our unit.
It sounds like there were some fantastic features you enjoyed ; the layout, furnishings and decor and stellar Blackcomb Location.
But unfortunately- these were mixed with several negative issues that tainted your overall vacation.
We were not aware the dishwasher wasn’t cleaning properly and by the sounds of it some dishes were put away dirty. Not acceptable. Nor are dead batteries or light bulbs.
Neither should have been missed.
In Whistler we manage over 70 private homes, with over 200 turn overs a month. This particular unit receives consistent 5 star reviews , not only on the unit itself but also the pro-active professional management we provide. That is why I am so shocked and upset with your experience.
Please allow us to assist you in your next stay. Let us show you our professionalism we strive to provide for our guests and care for our owners property. Both of these are crucial to our business and we care deeply that nothing is missed.
Clearly that weekend - something was missed...looks like the “pre-arrival” check.
Our apologies as this is not how we want to present our homes to our guests.

Great modern condo close to everything
Our family of 4 adults had an enjoyable stay at Glacier Lodge. The condo was spacious with space for everyone and had a comfortable living area. The lodge is convenient to the Blackcomb gondola, shopping, and restaurants. You are also just a quick walk from Whistler Village. We liked the ski storage at the rental shop in the building, the hot tub/pool area, and everyone who worked at the property was friendly and helpful. We had a few minor issues that prevent the 5th star, but despite those issues we would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed the cleanliness, location, style and air conditioning of the property. There’s coin laundry if needed, which is great. The loft was a bit bright in the morning being summertime. The other rooms had nice dark blinds. We all had fun!
Fantastic location just steps away from the lift and rental shops are on the way!
Staff was friendly and communicated promptly when our bags arrived.
Will be saving as a favorite.
Easy check in, clean upon arrival, close access to lifts, good heating and cooling systems, appliances all worked well. Will be adding this place to our favorites when looking to return.

An excellent experience with a great location in the upper village!
The unit was nicely very updated, clean and in a great location. Beautiful, short walk to the village. A/C was a huge bonus with temps between 80-90 F. Can’t wait to return and stay longer next time.
Property was great. However, dishwasher didn’t work and batteries corroded in remote. We communicated with check in desk and received an email and text from bob. We responded via text, hoping to get some extra dish towels as we washed all dishes by hand. We did not receive a text back. Condo was lovely, but communication was lacking.
