We loved this villa. We loved the swimming pool; the terrace; the sunsets; the visits from the "wild" boars! It is very well equiped, very clean and the swimming pool well maintained during our stay. Fabulous views, and glorious nearby beaches
A family of four, we just spent a wonderful week in Costa Paradiso. The villa is very well equipped and beautifully decorated, with stunning sea views (the sunsets were amazing!).
This is the second time we have spent a perfect holiday in this absolutely lovely villa! Highly recommended thank you David and Naomi.🌞
Peaceful villa, though with some drawbacks
It can often be hard to understand what a property is actually like from the descriptions provided; I'll do my best to cover the key elements here.
The views (and sunsets) are indeed good.
It's very quiet and peaceful
The villa is clean and well equipped.
Lots of chairs/seating and space around the pool.
Good provision of linen and towels.
There is plenty of space and parking.
Costa Paradiso is a very uniform resort, presumably purpose-built and with a lack of character or variety. It's a ten minute walk to the shops/restaurants and the choice here is limited.
You have to drive to get to the beach (or hike for 45 minutes if you prefer).
On our arrival we found some (soiled) underwear in the bottom of the swimming pool, presumably left by the previous guests. Yuck! The pool is chilly and of a single (quite deep) depth so not ideal for children.
There is limited hot water. Water heating is principally by solar, but even after a long sunny day you can't get more than three warm showers out of the system. There is an additional switch with a big red label and warnings not to turn it on; presumably this provides some back up water heating.
There is a general lack of information in the villa about the local area, amenities and things to do and see; there seems to be an assumption that people will just know the set-up and their way around.
Access is by keysafe. We received no contact or visit from the Villa's managers during our week-long stay. I guess you could view that as being positive or negative.
Whilst this is partly outside the villa's control, it was a surprising problem:
When trying to eat outside we were repeatedly mobbed by wasps and had to eat inside as a result.
There were quite a lot of mosquitoes in the property, and we all got bitten.
The property is constantly subject to invasion by small ants. We spent a couple of hours dealing with three significant incursions.
There are also wild boar and cats, though these didn't bother us.
In summary it's a nice peaceful villa, but not without some problems.
Thank you very much for your detailed review. All reviews and feedback are welcome and I will try to address the points that you make.
1 Costa Paradiso is uniquely beautiful because of its spectacular sea views and dramatic granite landscapes and its many villas blend into the rocks. The cliff walk to the beach is spectacular and the local beach is one of the most beautiful on the island. In fact you are surrounded by some of the best beaches in the Mediterranean, all only a short drive away!
2 On arrival guests can expect to find the Villa spotless and the pool is cleaned every day. The pool is deep and a good size and is in the sun all day.
3 Hot water is provided by a modern solar panel and there is a switch which heats the water on the very rare occasions when there is no sunshine. The system is extremely efficient and works well come rain or shine!
4 We sent to you, and indeed we send all our guests, comprehensive information about the house and local area including an A to Z of everything you need to know: the house, the area, the best restaurants, shops, excursions and tourist attractions.
5 Our key safe system works smoothly and means guests can arrive at any time of day or night. As property managers we are available 24/7 on the mobile and our team on the ground in Sardinia can attend you in person anytime you need us.
6 The house is in a beautiful wild location and any food that is left out can attract insects. The local shops have plenty of products to deal with ants and mosquitoes should they appear. Sardinia is rural and its wildlife is still alive and well...and active!
Thanks once more and hope to see you again soon

Beautiful location, very comfortable and well equipped villa...fantastic holiday
Thanks very much for a lovely stay in your stunning villa. It was a beautiful location and a very well designed and well equipped home. We had a fabulous holiday and would highly recommend it to others.
Situated on the North Coast between Castelsardo and Santa Theresa di Gallura, Costa Paradiso is known for the wildness of its land, and for the beauty of the crystalline sea bordered by sandy coves and beaches. All the houses have been designed to fit in with the natural landscape. It's a small tourist village situated at 25 min drive from Isola Rossa (sea front) and from Trinita D’agultu (mountain village), where there is a market every Monday. The local beach, Li Cossi, is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and can be accessed by a 10 minute walk along the headland. Also discover Costa Tinnari, La Marineda (convenient coved beach with all sport and bar facilities). Ideally located for both airports, Alghero (Ryanair) and Olbia (Easy Jet), the journey takes about 90 minutes by car, along panoramic coastal roads, to reach the marvellous Costa Paradiso and find oneself in a true paradise. The house is well situated as in a private zone, only 5 minutes walk from all shops.
