Simply stunning view. How sad, lovely, rustic charm. Kitchen may seem a little dated for some. Only suggestion to the owners would be more comfortable seating on the deck to enjoy the lovely view.
We had some issues in the beginning but the owner was quick to take care of everything. I would highly recommend this home. It was the perfect mountaintop rustic home, exactly what our family wanted for the weekend. The beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Hot tub was clean and offered great views. Wildlife was abundant with 3 deer greeting us upon arrival. The views are spectacular!
The view is expansively beautiful. Home is very comfortable. A 6 point buck came yp to the deck to greet us.

Thank you very much for your positive words! We're so glad you and your guests enjoyed your stay.
Great house, wonderful view, big deck! Clean and maintained hot tub, large selection of good cookware and dishes, every kitchen appliance you could need, and comfortable beds. Our only complaints were the lighting (was a little dark especially upstairs at night) and more/bigger towels. You also might get a splinter from the rustic wood walls if you aren't careful lol. The driveway is quite steep so keep that in mind when staying in winter months, it was fine for our fall trip. Otherwise this house is in a great, quiet location with plenty of space for everyone. A gem - would definitely stay again!

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, Kaitlyn. We appreciate your suggestions and we are glad you enjoyed this cozy mountain getaway.
The view from the deck is spectacular and was my favorite part of the house! There are chairs and a table to eat at outside and with a light breeze to keep bugs away was great. I do feel there should be more clarity in the house description. The house has plenty of box fans but there is no air conditioning. The hot tub is also for 12 and older only. And the foosball table is a great addition but it is in a very musty downstairs garage. A few members of our party have allergy issues so this did not work for us. We did enjoy our visit to the Banner Elk area.
This is a spectacular home with one of the best views in the area! The rooms and beds are very cozy and comfortable, and the master loft really can't be beat waking up to that view. The hot tub worked great and was used every night as it was the perfect temperature for it at night during our summer stay. This was my first time in the Beech Mountain/Banner Elk area and I would definitely love to return and stay in this home again. Truly my only complaint would be the piano shown in the pictures is very out of tune and not enjoyable to play or practice on.

Thank you, Matt, for your very detailed and positive review. We're so glad you enjoyed the house and its special features. And you're right, the piano is out of tune, or was, but it will be tuned this week. We hope you can return again sometime.
We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. The location is convenient to so many nearby sites and we were able to take advantage of the hot tub. The cloud coverage prevented us from seeing the beautiful views, but when they cleared out the view was phenomenal. Great communication from the hosts and will definitely recommend to others!

We appreciate your taking time to write a review, Elizabeth. We're so glad your family enjoyed yourselves. Hope you can visit again.
The view at this home is amazing and the location is perfect for skiing tourists. The neighborhood is quiet and private but it never took us more than 15 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go. The home is rustic and spacious. Love the hot tub on the deck. Would love to come back.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your review, Kristine. We're so glad the property met your needs and we hope you'll be able to visit next ski season!
Everything was great with excellent views. The place was the perfect distance to Beech Mountain resort. The only major issue we had were getting the driveway plowed the second day of our arrival. We also had some issues with some of the furniture in the cabin. Overall an excellent stay!

Thank you for posting your review, Hannah. Mother Nature tends to keep everyone on the mountain very busy during the winter. Thank you for letting us know about the furniture. All is in order again. We hope you can return!
Beautiful spacious home and property. Cozy with wonderful touches and amenities. We enjoyed the hot tub and the sleds they provided. Cannot beat the view. The decor and aesthetic were lovely too. We loved coming “home” to this home every evening. Our daughter had so much fun sledding and playing.

Thank you, Chris, for your sparkling review! We're so glad you and your family enjoyed Point of View.
The home is in a beautiful location and was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the setting, but our stay was significantly affected by two issues.First, the listing did not disclose that the home has no air conditioning. You can say this is my fault for assuming, but having lived through summers in NC for my entire life, this is an expectation.During a summer stay, this is an important amenity for many travelers. We only learned there was no A/C after arriving and contacting the host. While we were told that opening the doors and using the ceiling fans would create a cross-breeze, the home was still quite warm (76-80 degrees) during the day, making it uncomfortable. Also, we heard air conditioners running at adjacent properties throughout our stay.Second, I texted the local contact listed for the property when we arrived and never received a response during our stay. Fortunately, our questions were not emergencies, but having a responsive local contact is something guests reasonably expect. This is a lovely property in a great location, but I believe the listing should clearly disclose the lack of air conditioning and ensure that the designated local contact is responsive so guests know what to expect.
We were in town for a mountain bike race. Location and views were awesome. Proximity to Banner Elk was perfect. The rustic appeal of the rental was what attracted us to it. Would definitely stay here again.
