We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. The setting was restful and loved spending some time outdoors on the lake. The house was also very comfortable and well organized. We didn’t spend much time at the cabin due to graduation activities but appreciated our stay very much.
House was great. Great view. Lots of wildlife. Very relaxing. We had lots of fun at this one.

Remarkable gem!
This was a stellar property! Remarkable view, great outdoor seating areas to relax and plenty of toys to enjoy the lake! Well appointed home with everything you might need. Comfy beds too! One thing to know - the lake is not very deep, so cannot “dive” into it. It has a silty bottom like many lakes in the area. This was a truly lovely space - 10 out of 10! Would love to come back!

An adorable, comfy home
Our family loved our weekend in thus home! The house is beautifully decorated and very interesting - our kids loved the old cameras, binoculars, and working telescope! The book selection in the home is also very good. The home is waterfront and has a lovely view of the lake. We made good use of the kayaks and paddleboards every day. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were some of the best we've had in a home rental. We'd love to return to this lovely spot!

Lakeside work trip
Well stocked. We did only get 2 trashbags and 2 dishwasher tabs for a 4 day stay. Layout was perfect for us. Enjoyed the paddle boards and easy access to lake. The lake is small, we were able to see all of it in a hour. The fans were not enough to cool the house down. It stayed hot which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. The loft above the garage has a cooling system so we did spend time up there to cool off. The neighborhood is quiet. Lots of wildlife viewing.

Fun times had
We really love this property - this is our second time getting it- very cute and fun! Kids had an absolute blast!! Love the loft- it was great for a place for kids to be kids and adults and babies to rest a bit. They adored the train set, beds, and projector and books.
Outdoor vibes great- kayaks and paddle boards fun and easy to access. Wifi was fast, lots of seating indoors and out for lounging about, neat little animals visited us and a good telescope for peeping on ducks. Fridge good sized, kitchen stocked well on everyday utensils. Bathroom had plenty of towels.
Bring your own pillows toilet paper and cleaning supplies if you’re picky on those
But I love this place, kids adored it (and the little extra attic loft in one of the upstairs bedroom was a huge boon to the eldest kid to have privacy as she read.) dog loved it too
In the booking process, the host asked us to make accommodations for their purpose, to benefit them, not me, which I agreed to. Required checkout was 10 AM, but because we had a family breakfast planned at a restaurant, to strictly meet that we needed to check out by 7:30 AM the morning after a wedding reception with lots of luggage and seven people. I requested from the host to allow us to return to pick up our luggage after breakfast by 12 noon but they declined, stating such request requires 48 hours advance notice. It was maddening that although we were willing to accommodate the host’s request, she would not accommodate ours. TBH, the reply to our request read like an AI response. I did not think our request was unreasonable, but I did not feel like the host had customer service in mind.

Hi Eric. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I’m sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced regarding the late luggage pick-up after checkout. We understand how important it is to have a smooth and comfortable departure.
Please know that our checkout times are set to allow our housekeeping team sufficient time to prepare the home for incoming guests. While we strive to accommodate special requests whenever possible, adhering to these times is essential to maintain the high standards our guests expect.
We truly appreciate your understanding and hope this experience won’t deter you from choosing our home for your future stays.
The stay here was very peaceful and relaxing. We loved watching the ducks and ducklings, the geese and their goslings, and the deer meandering through the property. The house was clean, tidy, and well labeled and stocked. We wish we could have stayed longer. While overall it was a great stay, the description of beds is a bit confusing. We needed 4 beds for 5 people. There were 2 queen beds and 1 twin murphy bed each in their own bedroom. It lists a double bed but isn't clear where. It seems there are 3 twin beds in the garage loft, though without a bathroom there, no one in our party wanted to sleep there. Does the double bed listed mean the living room futon? We also had a problem with the wifi. It seemed the router was not working. We tried resetting it, but the network listed never appeared to any of our devices, nor did it work with the property's TV. We tried contacting the property manager, but never heard back. We made it work and despite those minor issues would stay again.
The property is so beautiful and peaceful, and it's obvious someone put a lot of love into it. That said, this was not a great experience with Vacasa. Problems that should've been anticipated: Upon our arrival, dog hair on the bedding, water left in the tea pot, visible dirty spots in the bathrooms. Only 3 rolls of toilet paper in the entire house for 6 people, & only 1 garbage bag. The ceiling fans were not all operable & it was HOT. Unpredictable problems: first night in the house, there was a man prowling the property at 3:00am. He scared the crap out of my kids who were up to use the bathroom. Turns out the loft/game room is in a totally separate structure from the main house, so they had to go outside to enter the house to use the bathroom. Found out it was the maintenance guy, who decided to come by in the middle of the night? The paddle boards were missing the main fins, which made them difficult to use. Still had fun, but it was a bummer. The prop manager was great about fixing both of these issues. On our last day we had a family emergency come up. I contacted both Vacasa and the property manager about extending our stay for one night, or getting late checkout time. I didn't expect to be told yes, bc it was all very unpredictable and last minute. However, the responses I got were cold and scripted, with absolutey no willingness to work with us. I found that really disappointing/upsetting. Overall, we prolly won't stay again.

Too many mishaps
The property is so beautiful and peaceful, and it's obvious someone put a lot of love into it.
That said, this was not a great experience with Vacasa. Problems in their control: dog hair on the bedding (we don't have a dog), water left in the tea pot, visible dirty spots in the bathrooms. Only 3 rolls of toilet paper in the entire house for 6 people for nearly a week, & only 1 garbage bag. Ceiling fans/switches were not all operable and it was HOT. Unpredictable problems: first night in the house, there was a man prowling the property at 3:00am. He scared the crap out of my kids who were up to use the bathroom. The loft/game room is in a totally separate structure from the main house, so they had to go outside to enter the house to use the bathroom. We later found out it was the prop maintenance guy? The paddle boards were missing the main fins, which made them difficult to use. Bummer. The prop manager was great about managing both of these issues. Our last day we had a family emergency come up. I contacted both Vacasa and the pm about either extending our stay for one night, or getting late checkout time. I didn't expect to be told yes, bc it was v last minute. The responses I got were cold and scripted, with absolutey no willingness to work with us. That was really upsetting, and the last straw. Even just an expression of sympathy would've gone a long way. We wouldn't stay here, again.

Hi, Tiffany. Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear about the cleanliness issues, limited supplies, and the non-operable ceiling fans you experienced during your stay. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, and I’m very concerned to learn about the prowler situation you encountered at night. Additionally, I apologize for the missing paddle board fins and that our customer service fell short in assisting with your last-minute extension and late checkout request. Please know that we take your concerns seriously and will be addressing these matters with our local team to improve. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.
