Our part is to give you a safe, dependable & beautiful Apt in a traditional Irish Townhouse, with top quality Wifi and Cable TV so you are always connected as much as you want. Your part is to settle in quickly into this lovely Apartment and enjoy everything that Galway, its busy Town centre, its fabulous sea-sides, and trips throughout beautiful Connemara will offer you.

Located on the ground floor of our traditional Irish Townhouse on The Crescent, you will not be disappointed. Recently rebuilt and kitted out with all conveniences to enjoy home-cooking and dining-in as much as you please, we work hard to ensure you are seriously well-looked-after for your time in Galway.

Accommodating 2 adults in excellent comfort, the apartment is spacious, stylish, warm, comfortable and superbly located at Devon Place on The Crescent - famous for its proximity to both the Town Center, and for enjoying wonderful walks out along the seaside promenades of Salthill & Blackrock.

A Master bedroom is arranged with California King or Twin beds, and ensuite from this through tall French doors is a Utility / Dressing Room with full-size washing machine & separate dryer. Off this again is a beautiful crème-marfil full bathroom: wc, whb & double-size walk-in power shower. All fresh, new & stylish!

At front of the apartment is the Sitting / Dining Room overlooking a pretty front garden, everything ultra smart & comfortable. A fully fitted Kitchen to one end of this completes a wonderful & attractive Apartment where yiu can quickly settle in to get on with many explorations & discovery out & about! An interesting small library of books, poetry & plays plus powerful broadband WiFi and a comprehensive Cable TV service offers you both reading pleasures & fast WFH connections to the world.

A quick stop in the nearby large supermarket makes for a delicious dinner and enjoyable glass of wine. Sit back and relax - you have found the Perfect! place at the heart of town to soak up the ambience of a lovely and lively Galway City.

It was our second visit to Galway, and without question, our most memorable. This location had a lot to do with our enjoyment. It was right on the edge of the vibrant downtown, in a gorgeous neighborhood setting, easily situated for wonderful walks on the Salt Hill Promenade. The hosts (Liz & family) as well as Peter (Property Manager) were extremely gracious and welcoming. It was an amazing experience. We would definitely look to stay there again.

Really liked this spot! Located within walking distance of small grocer, good stroll to the city. Starting our tour around Ireland, this was our first stop for the night after leaving Dublin. Driveway to the back was VERY tight. Host sent a lot of information and rules to follow about site. Mostly quiet spot to stay. Loved being able to do laundry. Crackers/cheese basket was a nice welcome. Livingroom photo on site looked different than our experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Liz and Cathy’s property. The flat was perfect for us, very comfortable and homey and everything was as expected. The location is fantastic, so close to all the restaurants and pubs and the Salt Hill path along the ocean is 10-12 minutes away. What really made our stay stand out was the communication, from all the info and guidance Liz gave us right up to arrival, then we met Robert who just happened to be there and right away engaged with us and helped us into the apartment. Then there was Peter, who took his time to show us the place and help guide us into the parking around back and made sure we knew that he was there for any help we might need during our stay.

Sorry this post is so late. My daughter and I stayed in this beautiful, comfy apartment for 6 nights - Sept 27-Oct 3/2025. We enjoyed every second of our time in Galway City, largely due to our wonderful accommodations. The best part being - location. It is within easy walking distance to everything, including the busy Quay St., the Salthill Promenade, the University District and our favourite - The Crane Bar. If you want LIVE authentic Irish music then this is THE pub for you.The apartment itself had a well equipped kitchen, cozy sitting room with fireplace, a large separate bedroom with storage galore, a separate washroom and laundry area.Our hosts Peter and Liz are tremendous communicators and made this trip exceptional.Don’t go anywhere else. Stay at Silver Acres!

The apartment was a perfect place to get to know Galway. We felt safe, found it conveniently located (important as we were on foot) and enjoyed how well equipped it was. A washer and dryer even! Caretakers were responsive and available. It was absolutely clean, roomy and comfortable. Would happily stay again.

Nice centralized cozy (no more than 2) apartment. Rental included breakfast food, which was bought and delivered after our arrival. The alley back to the parking area was a bit of a challenge since we had an SUV not a compact car but just added to our "adventure" in Ireland! :D

Was a great stay in Galway. Liz & Peter were easy to communicate with! Location is perfect - close to everything. Gave 4 stars due to Bed is just really soft. Might just be me and my preference or perhaps it’s time for an upgrade. but just know it is before you come. Otherwise it’s a wonderful clean apt👍

Quiet and convenient

A very comfortable, quiet apartment -- spacious for two people. The kitchen is well equipped, and the excellent clothes washer and dryer are a real plus. The flat is close to everything we wanted--a very short walk to the pubs and restaurants in the West End, a grocery and pharmacies are very near. Eyre Square and the bus and rail stations are maybe 15-20 minutes on foot. Recommended.

The location couldn't have been any better. About a 5 min. walk to Crane Pub, 10-15 min walk to Salt Hill, Galway Bay. 15 min. walk to Spanish neighborhood (what I would call downtown). Once you learn your way around, nothing is very far. Grocery store about a block and half away. The apartment is very comfortable. The heated bathroom floor was an added bonus. I can't wait to come back.

We had a great stay over St. Paddy’s day! There was a hiccup with VRBO not notifying Cathy we were coming (which is why I docked a star, this is more for VRBO than the apartment), but she jumped on it immediately and had the apartment cleaned and stocked within two hours of our unexpected arrival! She was able to coordinate all of this from Los Angeles, at 8pm on the Saturday night before St. Paddy’s day. The apartment is in a very convienent location, 2 minute walk to the Crane Bar and 10 min walk to the Latin quarter. Everything worked great, the heated bathroom floors were a great surprise!! Hope we get to visit again soon!

Top Notch Apt is everything they advertise -- obviously a plus in this market. Our apt was on the ground floor, sitting room/lounge with nice sized kitchen, good sized bedroom, laundry room and ensuite, nice sized shower -- skylight! Apt was well cleaned when we arrived, caretaker on site for any problems, we had none. Large grocery store two short blocks away, Short walking distance to the Latin Quarter of Galway City with tons of dining and shopping, excellent location. There are other tenants in the building, including commercial businesses so internet access was spotty during the day (sometimes nonexistent), but we were usually out so not a big hardship and we no problems at night. But such are the vagaries of any high use time in my experience. Before noon and after 5 were fine. We would definitely stay here again.

When our Airbnb was cancelled a week before arriving in Galway, it was a nightmare. I found Cathy’s listing and was relieved that she had a solution for us. She bent over backwards to make it work for 5 adults with such short notice. The apartment worked beautifully for us. Great location and comfortable space for all to gather. We were so grateful.
