Lakefront Bliss
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at As Good As It Gets. The lake views from the cabin are sublime. The cabin itself is spacious, clean, and there are plenty of activities for all. It made for a comfortable and serene stay.
Lovely home on pristine Doge Pond. A relaxing and quiet vacation in total privacy. My only suggestion is that the cookware could use an update and I would be careful if using the paddle boat with small children as it seems unstable. The cleaning staff left the house in perfect condition for us to move in and enjoy.

Peaceful Bliss
Another fantastic year in Rangeley! This was our first year on Dodge Pond and it did not disappoint! Very quiet and peaceful, very quiet on this pond. The house is amazing! Absolutely gorgeous. Very spacious, the deck is great for coffee in the morning to look at the view! There was everything we needed right at our finger tips! Also Morton and Furbish truly are amazing!!

Chill vacation
We loved our time at this cabin. It is so peaceful and very well supplied. The sunrise is beautiful and we enjoyed hanging out on the deck. Great pond to kayak on & a one is available there to use. The beds are comfortable, tho the pillows could be a bit better. There is an extra full/queen size bed in the basement, we didn't use it. From the pictures I had thought that was in a finished area. We loved all the games there & had some epic ping pong challenges!

Perfect Maine Get Away
We absolutely love this home. The inside is incredibly comfortable and clean. The deck is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. Town is very close by. The waterfront is picture perfect. The only reason that I am not giving it 5 Stars is the hill down to the dock is a little bit of a hike and the dock could use an upgrade. It moves a lot and some boards are starting to rot. Hard to come up with anything negative to say though. We love this house.
Modern log home on beautiful Dodge Pond. On the plus side- Nice dock and picnic table with fire pit by water, dual kayak and peddle boat provided, well appointed home with very comfortable furniture, ping pong table, water toys, board games, etc. Clean and well maintained. On the debit side- steep grade down to pond would be an issue for anyone with mobility issues, The kitchen is quite small for a house this size. You can't open the refrigerator door fully as it hits the island. The 4th "bedroom" is really just a bed next to the ping pong table in the unfinished basement.

Lovely property
The property is a very nice, tranquil spot. The house is well-taken care of as is the outside. It has gorgeous views of Dodge Pond and the mountains are nearby. And inside, there's plenty of space and things are well cared for. It's really a beautiful property.
The only issue we had was there were quite a lot of very large ants in the house when we arrived. Many were dead and looked they they were in various stages. Perhaps they came out between cleanings. Not sure. We contacted the management company and they sent a crew over to vacuum. Both apologized. However, the very next morning, the bugs were back..live ones. We realize this property is "in the woods". But, really don't appreciate that many live/dead bugs in a place we're staying. We decided to cut our visit short by 1 day.
My only suggestion would be that if there's a couple of weeks between renters, then perhaps the crew should be sent in right before the next renters arrival to make sure things are good.
We gave the property 4 stars because minus all the bugs, it is a great place.
Place is as advertised. Its private but close enough to downtown that you can hop in a car and be anywhere in 10 mins. The area down by the water is smartly organized so you can swim and hang out down by the water. This is important because the walk up and down the hill can be a bit of a chore..but Iâm a short fat guy and had no real issues with it other than it getting a little slippery when it rained. One thing to note for swimming - there is no walk in area, you either jump in from the dock or use the ladder off the dock. It worked for us adults and preteens bc we just jumped in but would be something to consider for parents of smaller children. The pond was real quiet and it felt like we had it all to ourselves most days. The house is just like pictures. Tons of seating areas which can double as places to sleep. The kitchen was stocked with everything youâd need for the stay. The deck is huge and has good views of the pond. The kids loved ping pong and darts in the basement. The bedroom in the basement is simply a bed in the basement. Worked for us - itâs where I slept - but something to note as i wouldnât classify it as a bedroom. Maybe adding an armoire or nightstands just so the person sleeping down there has a place to put there stuff would help.

Amazing view with loon calls
What an exceptional property! Every little detail was appreciated. Ice maker, bottle of wine, clean towels and wash rags, spices, baking sheets, coffee pot, mudroom, big tv, comfy beds, firewood! for fireplace and fire pit, water pressure, washer/dryer! We enjoyed morning coffee on the back deck listening to all the Dodge pond sounds. The only suggestions I would make is to provide better fry pans ( the only one was warped and I enjoyed cooking using local produce). We did not use the kayaks as it looked heroic to get into or out of them. We did fish, with no luck. Short distant to grocery, town and trails. Super clean. What a dream to see Dodge pond everyday. Quiet location. We stayed 11 days and would go back in a heart beat.
I booked this property for my myself and my children along with our two dogs. The pictures looked stunning but I figured there was no way it could be as great as it appeared. I was wrong!!! This house was everything we could have ever asked for. Huge! Spacious! Clean! Secluded!! We saw a few boats in the pond but overall it felt like we had our own little private hideaway!! The town was just beautiful and easy to navigate. On our second to last day I called up and booked it for the same week next year. Rangeley captured all of our hearts.
We had a wonderful experience. Everything was as expected or better. The water and location were amazing. We will definitely rent through Morton & Furbish again. With this pandemic they made us feel safe in their cleaning of the home.

The name fits the property
My family and friends stayed here for a week and the location was spectacular. The yard was gorgeous, the house was very well laid out and decorated. It comfortably has 7 without people feeling on top of each other. Morton and Furbish was excellent in helping prepare for the week and providing a list of amenities and directions. The deck was a great place to hang out and had the most stunning views.
