Welcome to Carolina Dunes Penthouse 702, a luxurious 3-bedroom, 2-bath penthouse condo offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The primary bedroom includes a king bed with en-suite bath, while the second bedroom features a king bed and attached bath. The third bedroom has two twin beds, and the living room includes a queen sleeper sofa, comfortably accommodating larger families or groups. Great for families

This spot is spacious and great for families. It’s a little far out for an adult nightlife trip but good vibes if you have a large group or children and a car. Overall amenities were as described plenty of beach house essentials like coffee pots & utensils, pans etc. would def stay again.

The stay was OK when we arrived. The fridge was very dirty on the outside some of the kitchen where as forks and spoons were very dirty and some of the furniture had wear and tear the TV with the two smaller beds did not work at all I couldn’t even watch Netflix in the living room because the remote had low batteries and it just took me to the LG channels. There was a roach behind a sofa and I could tell the cleaning staff didn’t even clean because of the fact that I got a notification saying that place was clean already by 12 by far, the cleaning a two out of five.

Great location and views!

Location for this property is awesome! Right on the beach with wonderful views. Being able to find a property with two rooms with king sized beds was a plus. The pool was very nice. I would recommend the property owners inspect the location. There is some much needed maintenance in the kitchen and bathrooms. Also, it did seem the property needed a good deep clean. However, it is a property I would stay at again.

Memorial Weekend Stay

The view from the condo was absolutely breathtaking — truly one of the highlights of our stay. However, we were disappointed to learn upon arrival that guests are not permitted to use the balconies due to the poor condition of the railings. It would have been helpful to receive advance notice about this restriction, as one of the main reasons we chose this unit was to enjoy meals and relax outdoors on the patio.Additionally, the mattresses and bed frames are quite old and could really use an upgrade for better comfort. We also noticed that no garbage bags were provided. We’re not sure if they’re typically included, but we recommend bringing your own just in case.With a few improvements, this place could offer a much more enjoyable experience to match its stunning views.

Definitely clean and great access to the beach.

Nice space

The unit was dirty, especially the master bath. Borken bulbs we had to replace and cabinets in kitchen could use some maintenance. Dryer machine broke a couple of times. But overall, space was big enough for our family. Nice kitchen and living area. Great location.

Beware of bedbugs

We had to wait for them to have somebody come out and investigate. In the meantime, not one person or manager came up to help us do anything all they brought us was trash bags to put our clothes in and throw out or go wash somewhere. And then they had the nerve to give me two phone numbers for me to contact another place to stay.

We booked the place in March and did not know that the outside railing would be under construction. We literally booked this place because of the advertised balcony as it was the “penthouse view”. I found out about a month before vacation that it was under construction but was scheduled to be complete 3 days before we got there. I got a text 2 days prior saying they failed inspection so we would not be able to use the balcony at all. They offered either a full refund, a relocation if anything was available (there wasn’t), or a 20% refund. Being that it was 2 days before our family vacation I couldnt cancel so we took the 20%. The 20% refund was for the inconvenience of not being able to use the balcony. Well, from 8am to 6pm every single day we got the thrill of extremely loud drilling, banging, more drilling and more drilling. It was horrible. You could barely hold a conversation at the pool and staying in the room was not doable unless you were deaf. I contacted the management company and they did add an additional 500 refund which was nice. Outside of the 8-6 timeframe it was a nice stay. I liked the place itself. Good location. Lots of good restaurants a short drive away. Unfortunately the noise issue left a permanent scar on this family’s vacation.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival, the unit was dirty. The master bath shower had mold everywhere. The wall in the master bed looks like it is ready to cave in. The floor leading into the master bed is ripping up. The bathroom vanity is warped and falling apart at the bottom. The kitchen cabinets are old and rickety. The one directly beneath the island doesn’t even have a bottom. Most of the kitchen cookware and utensils are worn and rusted and need to be replaced. The dryer was horrible. It took multiple cycles to dry a load. The fridge pictured is not the one you get. It’s a lot smaller with no ice-maker. The closet doors in the twin bedroom are off the tracks. There was a broken picture tucked away behind a dresser. The living/dining room area is decent. Location is great, view is beautiful. Maintenance was nice. Overall, for the price you pay, I would not recommend this unit.

Not A Penhouse

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This actually unit called a Penhouse was nothing like the pictures. It was run down. Patio furniture was all rusted and torn seats. The kitchen needed to be updated. Cabinets rotten out on the flooring and under the sink in the kitchen sink was mold and mildew was terrible. Dryer was loaded light and it still took 3x's to dry clothes. Old Beach chairs and beach supplies all out of date. In the living room was a broken lamp had not at least been glued. I went to move the couch and there was broken glass under it and I cut my right hand. Curtains in bedrooms worn out with see through areas. The master bedroom shower light was out. The fridge is too small for a Penhouse. The stove was dirty DID NOT USE. Glad I brought my Emeril Air Fryer with all the options, bake, broil, fry, dual cooked sides. It cook's everything. Thank U Lord For That! All Cooking Pans and dishes were nothing special and alot of items were not even furnished that was needed. For what we paid for 2 weeks was outrageous. If u need someone to do ur renovation on this unit give me and my husband a call. Maybe this way we could stay for free to renovate for this owner of Penhouse #702. Please updated ur pics for ur units. I will never stay here again. Yall need to reevaluate and renovate ur Penhouse #702

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great, close to anything you wanted to do. We never drove further than 15-20 minutes. This condo has amazing potential, however it is ran down. It needs updated and cleaned better. The sheets had stains (I don't care if sheets are stained, after you wash them if the stains are still there you get new, you are renting to the public and I do not want to sleep on stained sheets). The walls look like they have never been wiped down, there are stains that actually look like blood or something on the wall as soon as you open the front door. Paint is peeling, walls are cracking, corners are collecting dirt, as well as the windows panes, very dirty. We found a condom in what was my sons bedroom during our stay, thank goodness it was unopened but still gross. Q-tips were behind our main bedroom night stand (not sure if they were used or not) I did not touch them. My girls actually slept on top the the covers and used their own blankets that they brought, but during our last day when stripping the beds as part of the check-out process she had a dirty band-aid on the inside of the fitted sheet...nasty! I would not stay here again or recommend this condo. Very disappointed, especially since this is a penthouse and when one thinks of a penthouse they think luxury...this condo was certainly not luxurious. I took several pictures to show what I referring to but I don't see a place to add attachments here....
